New Flooring
The Society is having new flooring installed this week and, as you can imagine, we have had to box things up and shift things around. We plan to stay open and operational although we may be a bit slower getting back to you as our physical space is being worked on. Thanks in advance for your understanding as we make needed repairs.

Delay InU.S. Mail Delivery
We have received notice from a number of members that they have not received their mail from the Society. This is due to a delay in delivery from the U.S. Postal Service. We have heard from our members that it is taking anywhere from four up to six weeks for mail to reach its destination. The COVID-19 pandemic has created this backlog in delivery services during the holiday season.
Though we have no control over this issue, we do greatly apologize for the delay and ask that you please be patient during these trying times.
FBI Operations at the Lorton Prison
The FBI had primary responsibility for investigations at the D.C. prison at Lorton, Virginia for a number of years. Publicist Karin McKie is writing an article for the Federalist newsletter for the Society for History for the Federal Government. Her mother Laura McKie was instrumental in researching the FBI's involvement at the Lorton Prison and worked successfully with members of the Society to portray the FBI's role in the recently opened Lorton Museum. Karin would like to speak with former Agents who worked at Lorton.
If you can assist, please contact her at [email protected].
Anti-American Terrorism
A former Terrorism Analyst with the Department of State is writing a four volume history of Anti-American terrorism at home and overseas. The first two volumes are completed and he is now working on volume 3 which will incorporate the Clinton and Bush II Administrations. He would like to speak with former FBI Agents who worked al Qaeda investigations out of the NYFO.
If you would like to assist, please contact Dennis Pluchinsky at [email protected].
