Overview
Goal: Support our customers’ move to Autodesk® Building Design Suite.
Provide a one-time offer for AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MEP Subscription customers to move to Building Design Suite Standard.
All ACA/AME Subscription customers will be moved to Building Design Suite Standard unless they take action to opt-out.

Building Design Suite Migration Plan for AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MEP
November 26, 2012 – Fulfillment Date Beginning November 26, all ACA and AME current subscription
customers will gain access to Building Design Suite Standard via Autodesk Subscription Center.
Customers who have selected the preference “box” media will receive a physical shipment of Building Design Suite Standard.
February 22, 2013 – Opt-out Deadline Customers may install and use Building Design Suite Standard during
the evaluation period, which ends February 22.
Customers who wish to opt-out of this program must do so by February 22.

Communication Plan to Customers
November 14: First email notification to Subscription contract managers announcing program.
November 26: Customers are notified that BDS-S is available for download from Autodesk Subscription Center.
December 5: Email reminder with link to opt-out of migration program.
February 18: Final email with reminder to opt-out before February 22.

Pricing
Customers who take advantage of this program will continue to pay AutoCAD Architecture or AutoCAD MEP Subscription prices until their contracts expire, even if they are in multi-year agreements.
Customers will begin paying Building Design Suite Standard Subscription fees when they renew their contracts:
AutoCAD Architecture Subscription: $595Building Design Suite Standard Subscription: $690Incremental Subscription fee: +$95
AutoCAD MEP Subscription: $695Building Design Suite Standard Subscription: $690Incremental Subscription fee: -$5

Building Design Suite Migration Details
Sales and Partners may begin communicating this program to customers now.
Program only applies to customers with current Subscription contracts as of November 26.
Customers who renew ACA/AME subscription contracts before November 26 will pay subscription pricing for the standalone products for the term of the agreement.
As of November 26, all ACA/AME subscription customers will become BDS Standard Subscription customers, unless they opt-out by February 22, 2013.

AutoCAD® Revit® Suite new seat SKUs were removed from price list in Q1.
Subscription for AutoCAD Revit Suite will be discontinued on January 7, 2013.
All customers with current Subscription contracts will be fulfilled with Autodesk® Building Design Suite 2013 Premium Edition.

Product discontinuation. AutoCAD Revit Suites will not longer be available after January 7, 2013.
Customers may opt-out of migration to BDS. Must opt-out by February 22, 2013.
No opt-out available.
Communication to customers may begin November 1, 2012.
Communication to customers is under embargo until December 14, 2012.

Actions
1. Prepare your customers for this change by articulating the value of the Building Design Suites 2013 Standard Editions including added products, simplified deployment and management, more streamlined workflows, and access to Autodesk 360 services.
2. Encourage customers to download, install, and try Building Design Suite. Customers have until February 22 to opt-out of this program.
3. Inform your customers of the Subscription cost of Building Design Suite Standard Edition, so that they may budget appropriately when their Subscription contracts expire.
4. Review the collection of Building Design Suite sales tools available on the Partner Portal.
5. Remember the December 15 communication embargo for the AutoCAD Revit Suites migration.
