Following Jesus does lead to the good life, the genuine Christian life! It leads to an everlasting life with Him in Heaven. That is the message we trust the campers involved with the Camp Courageous VBS will learn and hide in their hearts. This package of visuals will be a tool you can use to help instill the lesson concepts in the young minds of the campers, and to help them picture the Bible accounts in a real way. Most importantly, the visual learning can help lead them to accept Christ as their personal Savior and, then, live lives that give honor and glory to God.

Theme Poster This colorful double-sided poster creates interest in the Vacation Bible School theme for 2015. Promote Camp Courageous VBS by displaying it in a well-traveled area of the church building six to eight weeks ahead of your scheduled event.

Beginner Sign Where should beginners sit for Camp Assembly? Display the beginner sign in the area you want the campers to gather. Identify the classroom where they meet with this poster on the door. Displaying a lot of Camp Courageous décor helps create an exciting learning environment.

Bulletin Board Included with your visuals are some lettering and artwork to help you complete the bulletin board as shown below. Use road maps, maps from theme parks or national parks as a background. Cut out the items and place them on your bulletin board, wall or door. Cut a small slit in the pages of the Bible just long enough to slip the bookmark through. Leave a part of it hanging out. To teach the purpose of Camp Courageous, pull it out and share the theme verse with the campers. Discuss with the campers how the Bible is a map for our lives. The Bible tells us where we are—lost in sin. It shows the way out—Jesus is the life, the truth and the way. It tells us where we are going—Heaven or hell. It shows how life is a journey where we enjoy the beautiful scenes of bless-ings along the way. The Bible also warns of the sadness and sorrows we all face as a result of the curse of sin since the beginning of time. It also tells us that one day our journey will come to an end. Pray with your students that they willmake the right choices in their journey of life.

Lesson 1DECISION DIVIDE—where you receive the SaviorMeeting the Savior Luke 19:1-10

Lesson Title Poster Receive the Savior. This poster can be used as you teach the plan of salvation. Zacchaeus was glad he received the Savior.

Bible Account Poster This scene will be easily recognized by your beginner campers. Discuss together why Zacchaeus was in the tree, why he came down and the changes that followed in his life.

Lesson 2PRAYER POND—where you talk to the SaviorPraying like Jesus Matthew 26:36-56

Lesson Title Poster This poster will help illustrate the importance of privacy in our personal prayer lives. It is important that children learn to talk to the Lord.

Bible Account Poster Jesus is our ultimate example of prayer. He was totally focused on His connection to the Heavenly Father when He prayed. Like His disciples, we get distracted and sometimes sleepy. This does not mean we have to stop trying to pray. We should do the best we can to be like Jesus and keep our hearts and minds focused on our Father in Heaven at all times.

Lesson 3FELLOWSHIP FOREST—where you meet other followers of the SaviorGrowing as Christians Acts 2:41-47

Lesson Title Poster We can accomplish more for the Lord when we work together with other believers. Believers can help one another and depend on each other when things are going good or bad. Jesus promised He would be with each true New Tes-tament church, no matter how large or small. He gave the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone. It takes all of us working together to do His will.

Early Church Panorama The first church was a busy church. There was preaching, teaching and fellowship with one another every day. Many people believed in Jesus as the Son of God and were bap-tized. They helped the poor and also shared meals together.

They showed love for one another and were faithful in all ways to their church. Cut apart the four strips of scenes 3-1—3-4. As you share the events of early church activities, place scenes end to end to make a continuous strip that will extend over 4' long when completed.

Lesson 4GLORIFY GEYSER—where you worship the SaviorLearning To Praise John 9:13-38

Lesson Title Poster We can worship God in many ways. Worship is giving Him praise, and true praise comes from the heart. Even during hard times, we can find many reasons to worship and praise the Lord. Jesus promised to give us His peace and His joy. The one who knows Jesus as his Savior also has the joy of Jesus every day. We should always have an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. There are many acts of worship including music, giving, prayer, Bible study and serving where we see people have a need.

Bible Account Poster Jesus healed a man who was born blind. He did what Jesus said and washed the clay from his eyes in the pool of Siloam. When he obeyed Jesus, he received his sight. He was very happy to have his sight. A greater joy came to this man later when Jesus saved him, then, he wanted to worship and praise the One who gave him eternal life. His heart was full of love and praise to Jesus.

Lesson 5WITNESS WATERFALL—where you tell others about the SaviorSharing with Others John 4:5-42

Lesson Title Poster It is important that Christians share their faith and help lead others to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. All God asks is that we tell the great things that He has done for us. Are you ready to share and tell? Someone out there is ready to listen.

Bible Account Poster The Samaritan woman is a great example of a simple way we can share Christ and be obedient to His command to carry the gospel to the world. This woman simply went to her family and friends and told them how Jesus had changed her life. She was a sinful woman; yet, Jesus showed His love to her and explained how to have eternal life. We can win others by showing love and caring about them. We can win others by taking time for them as Jesus did.
