Introduction

Introduction

Continuing a struggle that has persisted for more than thirty years, ELEJECT has earned the trust of its

clients, and it pledges its determination on exerting all efforts to present its distinguished services in the field

of Electricity and Energy Transmission Systems using the Up-to-Date scientific and technological means.

With the beginning of the supreme progress of our nation, and with the erection of the High Dam which is

considered the biggest source of electric power, ELEJECT has been established on the ninth of August 1965,

as the Public Company for Cities and Villages Electrification.

With continuous effort and persistence, ELEJECT could take a pioneering step and move from the stage

of medium and low voltage projects to the stage of going full speed. It has took upon itself the task of

performing field research and distinguished execution of the largest electrical projects for giant factories as

the Iron and Steel Factories Complex, the Aluminum Factories Complex, Electrical Power Stations,

Substations, High and Extra-High voltage Networks projects of different voltages, which will be tackled in

detail in this booklet.

Starting from this grand and rapid progress, the name of the Company had to be changed to be "General

Company for Electrical Projects " (ELEJECT), in order to match its name with the ambitious goals,

activities and achievements of the company.

Whoever reads the history of ELEJECT is faced with shining pages with pioneering achievements. The

Company is the avant-garde that advances the cause of technological advancement and scientific

development in the field of the execution of the largest electrical, mechanical and power transmission

projects, which are considered the decisive factor in the achievement of radical change towards the best

economic and social circumstances.

ELEJECT had earned the Production Cup Prize for three times.

The achievements of ELEJECT have not stopped within the borders of the Arab Republic of Egypt from

Aswan at the south to Alexandria at the north, it has transcended the borders to execute projects in

neighboring countries as Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Algeria, Morocco and recently Lebanon and

Ghaza. All the works performed by the company have been a pioneering example in accuracy in execution,

commitment to time tables, and finishing the works in record times.

As we proudly remember the achievements of ELEJECT and its ambitious progress, we'd like to

remember with gratitude the efforts of the first workers who carried out the emblem of the Company in the

first years, and conveyed the Company to its current status.

Since ELEJECT prides itself on the trust of its clients, it exerts all its efforts, capabilities and expertise in

the execution of projects entrusted to it, believing that electric power transmission is like a connected artery

that coveys the blood to the heart of national economy. It does that, having the most noble of examples and

Quality System compliance

Quality means the fulfillment of the requirements agreed with customer, including continuous

development of products or services by the way which satisfy the customer and encourage further

dealing with our company, gaining new customers and to be in competition with the internal and

external markets leading to increased profits and development..

It is reached by Performing the required work right from the first time with no need of reiteration

through the application of the right methods utilizing the usual common energy levels.

The company is taking the necessary steps to apply the total quality system that meet the

international specifications of the ISO 9000 standards. Upon these bases, the following was

achieved:

1. Definition of quality standards adhered to by the company, provided that these standards

meet the client’s requirements.

2. Assignment of a management representative for total quality system who is under the

direct supervision of the Executive Chairman and Managing Direcror of the company

and subject to his authorization.

3. Establishment the directorate for quality assurance and performance evaluation with the

specialties and authorities that cover all activities that affect the quality of work.

4. Establishment of a clear policy for quality and its endorsement by the Executive

Chairman and Managing Director and the declaration of this policy through Quality

Assurance Policy Declaration no. 25.

5. Establishment of a sound managerial hierarchy and a job description that fits the nature

of each job.

6. Establishment of stable and applicable work regulations which are acceptable to all

personnel .

7. Preparation of a quality manual and its endorsement from the Executive chairman and

Managing Director of the company.

8. Preparation of the documentary framework of quality systems with the collaboration

with all divisions and sectors within the company.

9. Preparation of documentary cycle suitable for work.

10. Formation of a team of quality internal auditors with absolute authority and complete

social security privilages and their training through a training course to prepare internal

authorized quality auditors within the company.

11. Preparation of an internal plans to revise quality assurance systems.

12. Execution of internal auditing of the company quality documents all over the company

administrations and execute the proper procedures to insure complete coincidence with

ISO - 9000 requirements. External auditing from the accreditation company were done

successfully and ELEJECT obtained ISO–9002 certificate in Jan., 1999 till 2002. For 3

years which extended for 3 years and was extended in January 2002 till January2004

13. Our company achieved the ISO 9001 : 2000 in January 2004 for 3 years which extended

for 3 years until January 2010 by external review by SGS Company carried on every 6

months .

14. Our Company achieved the ISO 9001:2008 in January 2013 for 3 years until January

A BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF

THE HIGH & EXTRA HIGH VOLTAGE

SECTOR ACTIVITY

Since the foundation of ELEJECT at 1965,The high & Extra-High Voltage Sector was

developed with confident steps in the field of construction and execution of integrated

electric power transmission projects inside and outside of Egypt . The sector undertakes

the execution of integrated projects as turnkey jobs including the performing of technical

studies, market scanning, and preparing the tender documents. Moreover, a professional

team work prepares civil investigations and survey works for the above mentioned

projects.

Efforts of this sector left shining prints on progress and development of every governorate

in Egypt. This can be related mainly to the skill and expertise of ELEJECT engineers and

technicians in the field of generation and transmission of electric power .

ELEJECT had carried out several projects as following :-

First : Overhead Transmission Lines 500, 220, 66, 33 K.V. :-

ELEJECT had carried out all these lines in different areas ( Agriculture, roky, desert,

wet soil ) .

Second : Under Ground Cables of XLPE and oily types for 66, 33 K.V.:-

ELEJECT had also erected and laid XLPE cables of 66 k.V. By the time oily cables are

replaced with the XLPE cables . These operations need high skill and rare experience in

fixing the special junctions and cables end connections . ELEJECT had constructed 66 k.v.

cable inside the housing area .

Third :Substations up to 220 K.V.:-

ELEJECT had carried out several substations of capacities 220/66/11KV.and had also

expanded some already existing substations.

All these achievements could not be realized unless all ELEJECT manpower personnel

has the wish to keep ELEJECT stays as the leading company among all national and

international construction companies in the field of generation and transmission of electric

power .

Aim of the project Misr Al Gadida for Housing and Constructions Company own the

area between Cairo-Al Asmalya route and Cairo-Al Suze from east to west and between Badr City and Al Sherouk City from South to

North .

The area had been planned to construct New Heliopolis City . Whereas 500 k.v. O.H.T.L. Abu Zabal / El Suze and Abu Zabal / Al

Tebeen path through this reigon and oppose the investment ,So Misr

Al Gadida Company had the order to modify the routs of these lines

to avoid the investment and residential areas in this City . The project include the followings :-

- - Design , testing , manufacturing and supplying the steel

towers . - Plotting of the tower on profiles .

- Design and execution of the foundation of towers .

- Design and supplying of the OPGW . - Marine transportation , insurance , custom duties and inland

for towers , accessories and earth wire OPGW .

- Erection of insulators & accessories , stringnig of conductors

(3*490 / 65 ACSR), earth wire (108 mm2 of galvanized steel

), OPGW and make the testing .

- The disconnected of under voltage lines and connect to the

modified lines .

A Brief Synopsis of the

Activities of the Industrial Constructions

and Substations Sectors

Since the establishment of the ELEJECT in 1965, it advances with stable steps in the field of

electrical power generation and transmission in all the A.R.E. Governorates and the Arab World

Countries. It executes lines, cables, substations projects of medium, low, and high voltage up to 500

k.V.

To utilize the personnel expertise and the Company equipment, the Company has expanded

and entered new fields of mechanical and electrical constructions of gas & thermal and diesel power

stations, in addition to metal structures erection and industrial constructions in plants and

factories, besides its execution of maintenance works, comprehensive repair of motors, steam

boilers for plants and power stations.

The Company executes communication networks projects, and expansions at telephone

communication networks in all over Egypt.

Scope of work of the productive workshop can be summaries as follows:

1. Manufacturing of low voltage, lighting and correction power factor

distribution boards.

2. Manufacturing of cable laying, agricultural and water cistern trailers.

3. Manufacturing of lattice towers , lighting poles and decoration lighting poles

necessary for electrical power transmission lines and distribution networks.

4. Manufacturing and installing of steel structures for production lines at

plants and factories.

5. Productive workshop is supplied with a painting furnace unit for painting

all of its products with all kinds of paints.
