Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish and English physician and writer.
Young yearsHe was born in 1859.
When he was 9 , he was sent to the Jesuit College. In the boarding school Doyle liked to play сricket very much. Arthur received medical education in Edinburgh University.
In 1891 Doyle made literature his main profession. His most known book character is a detective Sherlock Holmes. Holmes’ prototype was Joseph Bell, the University Professor.
Relations hips with other writers
Doyle had a lot of friends among writers. His work was influenced by the books of Walter Scott, — books which he grew up on, and George Meredith, Mayne Reid and R.L.Stephenson
The beginning of the first world war completely changed the lives of Conan Doyle.

1914-1918
In 1885 Doyle married Louise “Tuye" Hawkins; for many years she suffered from tuberculosis and died in 1906. In 1907 Doyle married Jean Lekki. Doyle had five children.
Family life
In 1920 the writer travelled a lot without interrupting his literary activities.
On 7 July 1930 Conan Doyle died of a heart attack. He was buried near his garden shed. The epitaph on his grave says:
