Abstract

The subject matter of this paper is culture in the context of European integration.At first is given the definition of the concept of culture, cohabitation, interfacing and integration, then, relying on terminology, the connection between these themes and concepts.Then follows a brief review of the historical development of European integration and its importance, as well as emphasis on culture being omitted from plans for unification.Then there is a short presentation of the identity crisis of European society and the importance of the identity of the subject of work, and the link with the culture.The main part of this paper deals with multiculturalism and attitudes towards it, with special reference to its shortcomings.The last chapter presents the synthesis of everything already mentioned with special emphasis on language, which is used as an example.The conclusion is a personal attitude and style of the author, as well as a summary of all the learned and the said. It contains replies to this topic posed in the title.The work contains elements of communication, politics, sociology, linguistics, etc. As a gravity core themes in the work were used Christian and Islamic cultural and religious traditions.
