1) Submit Form E

• Form E is for verification of personal particulars, application for MOE tuition grant subsidy and submission of parent’s consent.

• Download Form E from the eEnrol Portal here.

• Complete it and mail it back to NP (in the white envelope provided) within 5 working days from the assigned course registration dates.

2) Pay Course Fees

• Refer to the Fee Voucher found in the Enrolment Package sent to you.

i. If you are applying for Mendaki, PSEA, CPF or tuition fee loan, please tick on part a) Other Fees (applying for financial assistance schemes).

ii. If you are NOT applying for any schemes, please tick on part b) Total Fees (not applying for financial assistance schemes).

• Pay the fees at designated OCBC branches, at AXS stations or @eEnrol portal by the date stated in your green ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter.

Payment mode 1: OCBC Bank branches

Cash/ Cheque

• Go to a designated OCBC bank branch. You do not need to have an OCBC account.

• Write your Student ID and contact no. at the back of the cheque.• Drop the cheque into the quick cheque deposit box• If paying by cash, please retain the deposit slip as proof of payment.• Payment will be updated in 3 working days.

Payment mode 2: AXS Stations

ATM card

• Go to any AXS station islandwide, using ATM card (Payment can only be made at the physical AXS kiosk and not via AXS mobile app) • Click ‘Education’ and search for Ngee Ann Polytechnic• Click ‘New Student’ and enter your Student ID or NRIC• Enter your contact no. and select item to pay• Follow on-screen instructions and retain the receipt as proof of payment. • Payment will be updated in 3 working days.

Payment mode 3: eNets Debit or Credit card

Debit/ Credit card

• Go to eEnrol Portal (www.np.edu.sg/enrol)• Click ‘My Enrolment’ and log in with your Student ID and password (see green

‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter)• Follow on-screen instructions and take note of the payment reference as proof

of payment. • Payment will be updated in 5 working days.

3) Access eEnrol Portal

Enrol at www.np.edu.sg/enrol from home or anywhere with internet access during your assigned course registration dates (see green ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter).

Click on ‘My Enrolment’ and log in with your User ID and password (see green ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter).

4) Accept Course Offer

• Click on ‘Proceed with your course registration’ to select the course offer.

• You will need to complete the 10-step course registration. If you are unable to complete all the steps, click ‘Save as draft’ so that you can return to complete the relevant sections.

• Check and verify all information before clicking ‘Confirm Registration’ to complete your course registration. A confirmation message will be shown.

• Before you sign out, click ‘Return to My Enrolment’ and complete the following tasks in the ‘My Enrolment’ page:

i. Upload Photo to submit your photograph for your NP student card and Student EZ- Link card.

ii. Complete the ‘Credit Authorisation Form (for Reimbursement/ Payment to Student by GIRO). Then upload a copy of your bank statement or passbook. This will allow the polytechnic to reimburse or pay you whenever necessary.

iii. For Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, click ‘Apply for SingPass’. This will allow you to access MySkillsFuture Portal, a one-stop online portal to enable you to make well-informed career decisions and empower you to take charge of your careers and lifelong learning. International students will receive user-ID and password via your student email account.

• Click ‘Sign out’.

• You can return to ‘My Enrolment’ to check your enrolment status within 20 days from the time you completed your course registration.

• You can also check your enrolment status by downloading the mStudent app from App Store or Play Store. Search using the keyword ‘mStudent’.

[Reservation of place due to National Service (NS): If you are unable to commence studies in 2018 due to NS, please click ‘defer offer’ in the course registration page.]

5) Colour Vision Test or Medical Examination (for selected courses only)

• For students who are enrolling in courses listed in the tables below, you are required to pass the following test/examination. If not, you may be required to transfer to another course.

• Download the ‘PRE-ADMISSION COLOUR VISION / MEDICAL EXAMINATION’ form at the eEnrol Portal, and proceed to one of the listed clinics to complete the test/ examination.

• Return the completed medical form and accompanying medical reports to NP (in the WHITE envelope provided) within 5 working days from the assigned course registration dates.i) Check that your medical form has been completed and endorsed by the doctor before you leave the

clinic.ii) Collect the medical report (blood investigation report) and X-ray report from the clinic within 3 - 5

working days. iii) FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY, in addition to the medical form from our eEnrol Portal, do

bring along the ICA Medical Report Form.

6) Submit Interbank GIRO Application Form

All students are required to pay their school fees through Interbank GIRO.

Even if you have successfully applied for financial assistance schemes to assist with paying fees, you should join GIRO as the schemes may not be able to cover your fees in full.

• Please complete the compulsory Application for Interbank GIRO form online @ the eEnrol Portal and print a copy.

• Thereafter, please submit the signed/ bank-endorsed Interbank GIRO form using the brown Forms Submission envelope enclosed in the Enrolment Package by 27 April.

• This is for the deduction of fees.

Getting Ready for NP1) Freshmen Orientation

• Join the orientation programmes to get to know NP and your new schoolmates before the term starts on 16 April. You can choose from a suite of programmes for Freshmen. The academic school orientation programme is compulsory.

• Please refer to www.np.edu.sg/studentlife/Pages/orientation.aspx for more information on the ‘Freshmen Orientation 2018’.

2) Computer Notebook and Software

• You will need a Notebook Computer for your course (EXCEPT for Child Psychology & Early Education, Chinese Studies, Early Childhood Education, Tamil Studies with Early Education and Health Sciences [Nursing] students, who will be informed of the mobile device requirements during class at the start of the term).

• Health Sciences [Nursing] freshmen will require an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 9 and above or an Android mobile device with minimum 4.1 Jelly bean for their mobile learning.

• You may purchase a Notebook Computer at the ‘Notebook Exhibition & Sales’ event at NP Convention Centre from 27 February - 3 March from 9am – 8pm. After which, you can visit Blk 58, Level 1 from 5 - 16 March or 2 - 13 April (excluding weekends) from 10am – 5pm.

• You can visit www.np.edu.sg/notebook for more details.

• If you already own a Notebook Computer, you are not required to purchase a new one. You can check if your exisiting Notebook Computer meets the minimum specification for your couse at www.np.edu.sg/notebook. Click on “Minimum Specifications” on the notebook website to find out more.

• If you require Notebook Computer rental or loan assistance, see details atwww.np.edu.sg/enrol/laptop/Pages/application.aspx.

• You will need course-related software, and you can download them from home at www.np.edu.sg/software.

3) Class Timetable and other Student E- Services

• You can check your class timetable at https://npalstudent.np.edu.sg from 13 April 2018.

• Log in with your User ID and password (see green ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter).

• You can also access your class or exam timetable, exam results and more using your mobile devices by downloading the mStudent app from App Store or Play Store. Search using the keyword ‘mStudent’.

4) Textbooks

• Your lecturers will inform you of the textbooks to purchase during class at the start of the term.

• You may purchase your textbooks from 16 Apr to 11 May 2018 on campus (OurSpace@72). Thereafter, textbooks can be purchased online at www.ubspress.com/nptextbooks/.

5) Student Card

• You will receive your NP student card by mail if you have indicated a local mailing address and submitted Form E.

• Students without a local mailing address have to collect their NP student cards from 23 April 2018 on campus (NP Student & Alumni Services Office, Blk 22, Level 3).

6) Student EZ- Link Card

• Please upload a recent passport-standard photo (colour with white background) during your course registration for your Student EZ- Link card.

• Upon successful course registration, you will receive a SMS notification to check your Concession Card eligibility status by calling Transitlink Hotline at (1800-2255 663) or visit Transitlink website (www.transitlink.com.sg) after 1 April*.

• If you are eligible**, you can apply directly and make payment of $8.10 to Transitlink for the Student EZ- Link card at any TransitLink Offices.

• When your Student EZ- Link card is ready (in about 2 weeks’ time), you will receive a SMS notification to collect card on campus (NP Student & Alumni Services, Blk 22, Level 3).

• Please bring along your NRIC/ Student Card for verification purpose.

* For students who have successfully enrolled after mid-March, please check your eligibility status about 10 working days after completing the course registration.

** For non-eligible cases, please seek assistance at NP Student & Alumni Services, Blk 22, Level 3.

7) Singapore Permanent Residents and International Students

You are required to attend the compulsory IS/SPR Orientation programme on 12 April 2018, 10am - 12.30pm at LT58A, where you will receive more details on the Tuition Grant and other student life matters.

All International Students are required to apply for the Student’s Pass (STP) upon completion of course registration.

Permanent Residents and International students must execute the tuition grant deed with MOE before they are eligible to apply.

You may apply for one or more of the following financial schemes. MENDAKI, SkillsFuture Credit, CPF Education and Tuition Fee Loan schemes do not cover miscellaneous and other fees payable in the first semester of each academic year.

The approved scheme(s) will be valid throughout your course of study at NP, as long as there is available balance to fund your tuition fees.

Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy for Malay Students (Administered by Yayasan MENDAKI)

This scheme is for all eligible Malay students with Monthly Income Per Household Member (MI/HM) of $1,500 or less, to pay for tuition fees.

Only online applications are accepted. Eligible students can apply @ http://tfas.mendaki.org.sg by 27 April 2018.

SkillsFuture Credit (for students age 25 and above)

This scheme is for all Singaporean students aged 25 and above.

Singaporean students can apply online @ www.skillsfuture.sg/credit using your SingPass. Application starts from 01 April 2018.

Post Secondary Education Account (PSEA)

This scheme is for all Singaporean students. They can use their own or their Singaporean siblings’ available PSEA balance to pay for tuition and other fees.

Download application form @ eEnrol Portal. Mail the completed form using the brown envelope provided by 27 April.

CPF Education Scheme

This scheme is for all full-time students. They can apply to use up to 100% of their own or their parents’ CPF Ordinary Account ‘OA’ (capped at 40% of OA savings).

Singaporean and Permanent Resident students can apply online @ CPF website using your SINGPass. Please ensure the CPF account member endorses the application within 14 days of submission.

International students can download application form @ eEnrol Portal. Mail the completed form using the brown envelope provided by 27 April.

Tuition Fee Loan

This scheme is for all full-time students. They are eligible to apply for up to 75% of their tuition fees.

Download application form at @ eEnrol Portal and bring the completed form to any DBS branch, together with a guarantor to sign the agreement in front of the bank officer.

The guarantor must be a Singapore Citizen (SC) for SC students; SC or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) for PR and International students, and is at least 21 years old but not more than 60 years old. The guarantor must not be an undischarged bankrupt.
