AgriAgri Till̓s beginnings can be traced to the early 1970̓s, starting with a small workshop that repaired agricultural equipment. During the 1980̓s, production of sheets and disc blades for the local market was the next step. 1992 led to the expansion into the International market. InIn 1998, a manufacturing facility for the Indian & overseas market was added with improved infrastructure & technology.

MANUFACTURING CAPABILITYAgri Till manufactures a wide variety of agricultural components. These include agricultural disc blades, rotary tiller blades, agricultural forged tynes, trolley hooks, plough spindles and shovels.

With its headquarters at Indri road, Karnal in Haryana, India, Agri Till controls manufacturing at two well equipped factories located in the same town.

TheThe factory that manufactures disc blades has the capacity to produce a million units in both high carbon and boron steel with an average production of 400 blades per hour. A three high rolling mill, a dedicated press section, two heat treatment shops, a paint shop, testing facilities and a chemical laboratory are spread across in the expansive 195,000 square feet factory alongside a dedicated administrative block and an enormous storage capacity.

The Rotary Tiller Blade division has a streamlined and planned manufacturing layout, giving it the ability to produce upto one million premium Boron Steel blades.

AgriAgri Till has over two hundred employees who operate on very high standards and deliver products to a tight tolerance.

At Agri Till, no production is complete until it has been satisfactorily tested by quality inspectors. The discs go through composition test, ball test, hardness test, flatness test, wobble test and flexibility test before being delivered.

MANUFACTURING CAPABILITY

Agri Till's in house manufacturing units work at optimum levels to produce products of the highest quality. Discs made out of the cross-rolling technique ensure uniform microstructure which create excellent mechanical and physical properties in the longitudinal and transverse directions.

An in-house tool room enables Agri Till to produce the tooling and dies needed for every type of disc blade at the highest quality standard quickly. The dedicated heat treatment shops for both High Carbon & Boron steel are housed with efficient hardening and tempering processes to ensure suitable mechanical properties for all the components produced.

Raw Material SectionTested and certified raw materials are re-inspected at Agri Till̓s in-house laboratory for chemical composition and are colour coded to ensure a smooth running of operations down the manufacturing line.

Rolling Mill SectionThe 3 high cross rolling technology used in Agri Till̓s rolling mills are used to

produce discs between 12" to 30" diameproduce discs between 12" to 30" diameter and 3mm to 12 mm thickness in size. These are used to form the shape of the disc by passing metal stock through the rolling mill. The 3-high mill uses three rolls that rotate in one direction; the metal is fed through two of the rolls and then returned through the other paithen returned through the other pair.

Painting SectionAt Agri Till, the production lines are closely controlled and it is ensured that the right coating is applied. All the discs are well prepared by automatic shot blasting to ensure a smooth surface finish that prepares the disc for painting keeping it absolutely free from chemical deposits, scales and dust content. This also increases longevity and durability of protective surface coats facilitating the formation of a permanent bond between the protective coat and the permanent bond between the protective coat and the shot blasted surface. Both lead & mercury free paint and powder coating facility are available for the discs

depending on requirement.

Packaging & Warehousing

The discs are safely bundled in pre-decided numbers and stretch wrapped to ensure neat and clean

warehousing. This way, the bundles are safe to be loaded and shipped anywhere across the world.

Disc Making SectionDedicated and updated heat treatment departments for both High Carbon and Boron steel disc blades ensure optimum hardness and toughness. A series of tests including

Hardness test, Ball test, Flexibility test, Wobble test & Flatness test are conducted so that

Bevel SectionThe Bevel Section at Agri Till uses special tools to sharpen the discs and produce the fine kind of edge required which go into the soil at the

right angle.

To cater to a variety of types and sizes, Agri Till has a dedicated tool room that prepares the dies and tools, and develops them in-house under strict supervision. The tools are dual faced and are recalibrated after a strict number of batch productions or working hours to ensure that every item produced is of the exact specified dimension. PRODUCTSDISC BLADESDisc blades are used to displace, unearth and invert soil. The movement of disc blades through the soil increases the penetration of water, aeration and enhances the activity of fertility within the soil. The discs on the front of a plough move materials towards the periphery of the disc while the rear discs move soil towards the centre of the disc.

Agri Till̓s disc blades are carefully heat treated for the optimum set of mechanical properties to be ingrained to engage with the rocks, boulders and other obstructions during the working life of the blades in the field. The discs have a delicate balance of hardness and flexibility which is vital. HardnessHardness ensures it breaks through the stones and other foreign blocks and flexibility ensures that the disc can take enough load and re-gain its original shape after a harder object comes through.

FLAT DISC BLADESAgri Till̓s Flat Disc Blades are vertical tillage tools used to primarily prepare the seedbed and it also helps in distributing residue and in warming the soil. The depth at which a Flat Disc Blade can go depends on soil and climatic conditions. Flat Disc Blades are carefully heat treated to engage with the rocks, boulders and other obstructions. They have the same delicate balance of hardness and flexibility like in disc blades ensuring that it is tough enough to go through obstacles and flexible enough to regain its shape after.

BEVELSThe size and shape of a bevel is an important parameter in the optimal performance of soil engaging components. Bevels need to be developed for specific soil conditions and types. Bevels that are extremely sharp have a tendency to break away easily and those that are too dull will have difficulty entering the soil.

ROTARY TILLER BLADESBefore the agricultural process can begin, it is imperative that the soil be prepared suitably. Work is carried out to improve the biological and physical condition of the soil, to remove competing vegetation and to prepare the seedbed.

Keeping this in mind, Agri Till manufactures rotary tiller blades only from boron steel ensuring optimum performance and field life and are used to dig and plough farmlands, break up soil and carry out inver-sion and mixing of trash and do the main task of tilling the soil.
