“Build your own dreams, or someone e l s e w i l l h ire you to b ui l d the irs ”
Farrah Gray
Hello and a warm wellcome to my world. With these few pages I want to show my own way of thinking. But this is not just about architec-ture. It’s about what I enjoy doing the most and everything in which I’ve spent my time and efforts the last few years.
Prior to letting you get inside my world I would like to say a few things about myself:
I have just finished my degree in Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
As long as I can remember I have been quite fascinated by everything related to construc-tion and design. To be honest, I did not read The seven lamps of archiTecTure when I was young. I’m talking about games, magazines and books.
Driven by that interest, I orientated my educa-tion towards architecture. After my Erasmus scholarship in Milan, I disco-vered a new world where art, design and pho-tography became importants sources of inspi-ration, and I developed a shared-blog that united all these passions. (www.clickmylook.wordpress.com)
And here I am, eager to discover, learn and give my best on what I love.
Enjoy reading!

“I search for surprise in my architec-ture. A work of art should cause the emotion of newness.”
Oscar Niemeyer

El Cabañal in Valencia is an old neighborhood in the coastal zone of the city. Even though the neighborhood is in bad shape, it still has a small fishermans’s town charm. In order to bring life back again to the neighbourhood, I re-generated a preexistent building.
The importance of this project lies in its rela-tionship with the enviroment where it is deve-loped.
As a result of the uncontrolled urban growth in my intervention area, the starting point of this project is to use the conditioning urban factors to develope my work.
The first thing I found were two badly dete-riorated industrial buildings. I only maintained their façades as a monument of what they have been.
A longitudinal building occupies the northern part of the project attached to the annex buil-ding’s party hedge. This long spine also covers the façade of a residential building, not mo-difying any structural element like Lacaton & Vassal did in Paris.
Another distinctive element of this project is the use of four prismatic volumes that illuminate the environment.

“ The city is a marvellous human emotion. His beauty, in invention of the man, consists of being a place of meetings and surprises.”
Renzo Piano
s cities grow, so does pollution, noise and climate change.Last century people dreamed about the idea of the “city gar-den”, but nowadays, most big cities have grown considerably without focusing on the develo-pment of their few green areas.
Milan is one of the world’s most polluted cities.
It is particulary for that reason that improving the urban conditions becames mandatory.
My project arises from a green area in the city of Milan, near Udine’s subway entrance.
The zone had fallen into disuse due to lack of planning.
I started the analysis trying to bear in mind what people could do in an urban green area. It had to be a place where everyone could develope its own activities without disturbing the others.
This is why I designed a park where the diffe-rent areas are separated by different heights. This creates a geometrical game that allows the views in some directions while preventing it in others.

“ We have worked with the hope that our work cooperate in the great task of dignify human life through the beauty and help raise a dam against the swell of dehumanization and vulgarity.”
Luis Barragan
aasneere is a settlement of Burki-
na Faso, near the road between
the cities of Kongoussi and Kaya.
The project was started thanks
to the organization “Algemesi So-
lidary”, which aimed to improve
people’s live. .
The project’s idea was to build a high school for the village. I relied on the typical morpholo-gy of the dome, the traditional construction in certain areas of Africa, while trying to preserve the typical geometry of most of the houses at Baasneere. This kind of construction has some problems, related to the lack of knowledge of Baasneere’s people, that I will try to resolve.
The associaton came to the Architecture school of Valencia in order to make this project possi-ble. Using the ideas we gave, they are currently developing a final draft that will be built in the next few years.
I find this project really relevant, not only for the final result but also for the difficulty of dealing with a new and unknown theme.
The most important thing was to open my mind in order to understand their way of life instead of imposing ours.

I t s c l imate is c lass i f ied as hot semi-ar id (BSh) . This means extremely hot summers
and warm winters. The cl imate exper iences the seasonal ef fects of monsoons and
has a shor t but wel l-defined wet season. Dur ing the hottest months there is scanty
vegetat ion , leaving smal l groups of woodlands alone, main ly Baobab type.
There ’re some envi roment, socio-cultural and socio-economics sustainable pr inci-ples that I t r yed to accompl ish and to incorporate to the project.
