is awaiting the release of his next venture Neenae Raja Neenae Mantiri. It will be simultaneously out in Tamil as Naan Aanaiyital.Speaking to News Today, the

actor, says, ‘2017 has been a fantastic year for me so far. I have done fi lms in three different genres. I am thrilled’.Naan Aanaiyital is a political

drama. It has action, revenge and emotion. All credit should go to my director Tejas, he says.Excerpts of his interview:Q: Tell us about Naan Aanaiyital

and your character.A: It is the story of a simple man.

He loves his wife who is his life. It is more a political drama. A common man’s action makes his life complex. In general, the movie is about politics, wealth, love and more. It is not inspired by any real life incident.Q: Tell us something about

TejasA: I wanted to do the movie only

for him. He is a talented fi lmmaker, who has a lot of experience working in different languages. He is a dedicated person and a wonderful writer. The movie has come good.Q: Why did you opt for the title

Naan Aanaiyital?A: My director Tejas is a huge fan of

veteran actor M G Ramachandran. Naan Anaiyittal was a popular song from one of his fi lms. We thought it would be the apt title for our movie. There is also a popular MGR song Pachaikili Muthucharam which is used in the fi lm.Q: How was it to work with Kajal

Agarwal?A: This is my first movie with

Kajal. The director told me that when he was writing the script he decided that Kajal would be doing the female lead. She is a talented actress in the industry. It was fun working with her.Q: How do you choose your

fi lm?A: ‘I love to do experimental

movies. There is an urge in me to act in novel themes. Variety is the spice of life. I fi rmly believe it.Q: On the drug scandal involving

a few Telugu fi lm personalities?A: Every minute there is a new

Nayanathara has completed

the shoot for Aramm, which is a female-oriented fi lm. The movie which is being directed by Minjur Gopi features her in the role of a district collector. The story revolves around Nayanathara and her character. Interestingly the audio of the movie was launched today. Ramesh and Vignesh of Kakka Muttai fame are also in the cast. Music is by Ghibran. Aramm is being produced by KJR Studios.Speaking about the movie, the
