Twelve students graduated from a two year program designed to equip them to serve as church planters and leaders in churches throughout Latin America. READING TEACHERS NEEDEDReading teachers are need for LIFT - July 14-17 and July 21-24. Please consider reading with inner city children for one hour a day for four days a week during these weeks. HOMEMADE ICE CREAM FOR VBSWe need people to bring and serve coolers of homemade ice cream at our Ice Cream Supper in the Gym this Wednesday Night after our VBS Grand Finale. Serving will begin at 7:30 pm.

WELCOME PARENTS WITH CHILDREN - Please find information regarding Bible Classes for babies-5th Grade at our Children’s Information Desks. There are several attended nurseries during worship for ages 0-24 months, along with diaper changing and nursing mothers’ areas. All guest children need to be registered at our Children’s Information Desk before going to Bible class.

TODAY - VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL KICK OFF! - A VBS Kick-Off (sneak peek of our VBS!) will be tonight at 5:00 pm. Our Preschool children will assemble in the Family Theatre and K-5th Grades will meet in the Gym. A snack (snack mix & juice/water) will be served. Kick-Off will end at 6:00 pm. Parents need to pick up children from both locations!

SIGN UP BEGINS FOR JUNE 22 FAMILY SERVICE DAY! - Sign-up sheets (with information) are posted just outside our Elementary Hallway for a special Family Service Day set for Sunday afternoon, June 22. At least 3 service projects (with limited spaces) are available for families to choose from. Stop by today and sign up!

SUMMER READING PROGRAM UNDERWAY - Stop in the Children’s Library (near the Downstairs Information Desk) to sign up and get more information on this fun program where children read some great books and win some great prizes. For Ages 0-12 - (parents can read to their children and count those books too).

NO KIDS PRAISE TONIGHT - In lieu of our Sunday Night Kids Praise (Sunday PM Children’s Worship) our VBS KICK-OFF will be held at 5:00 pm.

SUMMER CAMPS UPDATE! - Registration/Information for K-2nd Grade & 3rd - 5th Grade Basketball Camps (Day Camps are closed!) are located at the Elementary Bulletin Board located just outside the Elementary Hallway! Registration forms for Preschool Parents Morning Out are also still available. Forms are at our Downstairs Children’s Info Desk. Remember that space is limited on all camps!

K-5TH GRADE BIBLE TOKENS PROGRAM UNDERWAY - Don’t forget the special program for our K-5th Graders to promote bringing their Bible to class & memorizing scriptures, while at the same time helping some needy children in our Inner City & the Baja! Information is located in the K-5th Grade Bible classrooms & at a display across from the Children’s Library. Children are encouraged to begin redeeming their tokens.

For our June 9-11 “Weird Animals” Vacation Bible School, we are asking our children who attend, to bring new children’s clothes (all children’s sizes, preschool 4’s – 5th Grade). In honor of former Children’s Ministry Intern, Andrew Rieder, these clothes are going to be distributed to needy children in Honduras at the Mission Lazarus Refuge Children’s Home (also one of the recipients of the Andrew Rieder Memorial Fund to Benefit Children). Clothes (pants, shorts, shirts, dresses) need to be left at a designated drop area in our Foyer which will be set up all 3 days of Vacation Bible School. More things to know about our VBS this week…

• Weird Animals - The theme for our VBS is Weird Animals. Weird for our VBS means one of a kind, unique, and special. The children will learn about the one of a kind love of Jesus through a series of lessons from the New Testament.

• VBS Kick Off Tonight At 5 PM - Sneak Preview of VBS - Preschool children - Family Theatre Room. The K-5th Grade - Gym. Ends at 6:00 pm. Snacks will be served.

• Dress Wacky Tacky Tonight! We are encouraging children to dress wacky tacky (crazy mismatched clothes) for tonight’s Kick-Off.

• VBS is Monday - Wednesday from 9:00 am – Noon Sessions begin in the Worship Center.

• Who Can Come To VBS? 4 years old - 5th Grade.

• Can you still register for VBS? New registration will be taken tomorrow in the Foyer prior to 9:00 am.

• Wednesday Night Grand Finale - Worship Center at 7:00 pm for the entire family. There will be snow cones, ice cream, cupcakes, inflatables and a live petting zoo following the Finale!

• Homemade Ice Cream Supper This Wednesday Night We need people to bring & serve coolers of homemade ice cream in the Gym. Serving would begin at 7:30 pm.

• Capri Suns & Waters Are Still Needed - We still need Capri Suns and small bottles of water for our children’s snacks. Drop-off areas are near the portico entrances and at our Downstairs Children’s Information Desk.
