BACKGROUND OF KHAZANAH NASIONAL BERHAD

‘’Khazanah Nasional Berhad is to sponsor high achieving

students to pursue education in technical and professional

subjects in renowned local and overseas universities. The

basic aim of this programme is to select the very best and

grooming them to eventually lead GLCs. This will enhance

the management capability and quality of management of

GLCs.’’

Yayasan Khazanah is a foundation established by Khazanah Nasional

Berhad in 2006. As a start, we groom talents and help them build their

capabilities by offering premier scholarship to pursue studies at

Malaysia’s leading universities or at the world’s renowned institutions

of higher learning.

KHAZANAH SCHOLARSHIP: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

UNDERGRADUATE POSTGRADUATE

Possess excellent academic standing, strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities

A personal statement (for undergraduate study) or a research outline OR thesis summary (for postgraduate study) is required

Applicants must have a consistent and outstanding academic achievement record as follows:

Foundation Studies Obtained a minimum of 8As (combination of

A and A+) in the recent SPM examination

Not exceeding 18 years of age as at the enrolment date for the foundation studies.

Masters Degree Obtained a minimum of Second Class

(Upper) Degree (Hons) or a CGPA of 3.5 for Bachelor's Degree

Obtained admission to pursue studies at re-nowned universities

Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the en-rolment date for the Master programme

Undergraduate Studies Obtained a minimum of •3As for A-

level •CGPA 3.5 for Foundation •IB Score of 38 •Other qualifying Pre-U criteria

Obtained admission to pursue or currently pursuing studies at renowned universities

Not exceeding 21 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Degree programme

PhD Obtained a distinction or 'A' grade average

or equivalent (if there is a point systems) at Masters level

KHAZANAH BESTARI STUDY GRANT SCHOLARSHIP

The Khazanah Bestari Study Grant Programme was introduced in 2012 to provide financial assistance to deserving secondary school students who are from challenged background family with combined household income of below RM3,000 per month.

It has been a year since the inception of YK structured Leadership Programme which is dubbed as YK Premier Scholars Programme (YKPSP). YKPSP is designed to equip the scholars with the leadership competences as part of the preparation to nurture leadership potentials. The structure of the programme is as below:

Lessons are conducted within a classroom environment & in the presence of an instructor.
