The Montepulciano grape was brought to Abruzzo by the ancient Greeks in 100-200 BC Abruzzo is the European greenest region (33% of the area are National Parks). Fifth region in Italy for wine production Pescara area is in the middle of the coastal area between the sea and Apennines mountains: unique climate conditions influenced both by the sea and the mountains

La Valentina is a family owned small sized (350,000 btls) boutique vinery Our wines are natural products from our terroir: a unique combination of terrain and soil which we try to convey in every single bottle The local micro-climate (sea and mouantains) and the land, to which the vines are bound and so we-adapted contribute to make wines of a unique distinctive character . We intervene as little as possible in the natural processes and we adhere completely to the principles of sustainable development.

- Classic La Valentina reserve wine - Selection of the best Montepulciano grapes from our different vineyards (very low yields) - A modern interpretation of a classic wine: elegant, full-bodied and easy to drink - Very easy match with lots of different foods, high-end excellent choice by the glass

FEATURES -100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (DOC) grape varietal - Aged in 25hl oak barrels, new and used barriques where spontaneous malolactic fermentation takes place - A careful selection is made barrel by barrel after approximately 18 months, a careful selection - The wine is blended and bottled unfiltered one year before release

-Impressions: Rich ruby red. Mediterranean spices with a pleasant, earthy, mineral tone. Powerful to the mouth: blackcurrant and mulberry, with traces of coffee and cocoa. Rich and balsamic emotions.

- One of the very few true single vineyard Montpeulciano d’Abruzzo in the market - Complexity and structure perfectly combined with the typicity of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo - Both vinification and ageing are in wood

FEATURES -100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (DOC) grape varietal -Harvested in late October -Fermentation for about in Slavonian oak open conical vats -Ageing partly in barriques and partly in Slavonian oak vats for about 18 months. Bottled without filtering

-Impressions: sumptuous ruby. The nose is struck by wild berry jam with light notes of balsamic rosemary, licorice and black tea. A full, enveloping palate which has a dense tannic theme with a notable presence of blended tannins. “bianco” pecorino I.G.T.

“BIANCO” Pecorino I.G.T (bianco means: white)

- Tradtional grape from the Marche and Abruzzo areas. Revived in the last ten years - I.G.T means that is produced with grapes grown exclusively in the Pescara area - Both vinification and ageing are in stainless steel - Complex and mineral but still very easy to drink

FEATURES -100% Pecorino grape varietal - Strict and careful attention to the fruit in the vineyards at harvest - Fermentation is in stainless steel -The wine is finished and refined with solids, in stainless steel

-Impressions: clear, rich, straw-yellow color; fresh, intense, bouquet, rich in minerals, with hints of hawthorn, exotic fruits and honey. To the palate it is it reveals itself to be fresh, full-bodied and dry. The fruity notes are harmoniously balanced by the body and the acidity. - 100% Pecorino grapes: no blending with other grapes one of the few “real” pecorinos in the market - Extremely good quality for value - New grape with limited production and low yields. Ready to drink wine with good ageing potential - Completing the “BIANCO” line there is also the Fiano I.G.T.
