Our team of graphic designers and coders work directly with the event to ensure that the booking engine looks just right. We’ll also design custom “Book Your Hotel” images to help promote the booking engine. Developing Relationships and Building the EventWhile our design team is working hard to ensure appropriate event branding, our professional Sports Travel Agents are developing relationships with every desirable area hotel in an effort to establish the guaranteed lowest online room rates for participants and the highest possible per night room rebate for the event. A rebate is a dollar amount paid by the hotel to the event for directing people to their property. We’ll also negotiate things like extended check out, free breakfast, and other perks to incentivize booking & enhance the hotel experience for event goers.

Host Hotels There is always one hotel that is willing to go above and beyond to be called the Host. If your event already has a host hotel, we’ll work with them to design a custom banner featuring their property at the top of the hotel booking engine. Host hotels generally provide a higher rebate per room night, complimentary rooms, and other perks for people booking through the engine. If your event is not currently working with a host hotel, then we can help facilitate an appropriate host hotel to help generate additional revenue for the event.

Trackability and TransparencyBeing able to accurately track the number of room nights booked for an event means everything when revenue is generated per room night. Our fully transparent, state-of-the-art room tracking system ensures the event doesn’t miss a night. Each participating hotel is provided with a private rooming list for their specific property allowing the hotel managers to view full room booking details. The tracking system also ensures that the event itself doesn’t lose out on the travel revenue just because someone forgot to mention the race or doesn’t provide a discount code.

Once the event is complete GoAthlete provides a Travel Analysis, which will display exactly how many room nights were booked at each property. We’ll then reach out to the hotels to ensure rebates are paid to the event in a timely manner. When it comes to rebates we think that transparency is crucial, which is why we provide full event reporting and require the hotels to pay the rebates directly to the event.

What about Sports Venues?

Do you manage or own a sports venue that hosts multiple events throughout the year?

WE CAN HELP Whether it’s two or 200 events, we can turn the travel associated with your event into a

real revenue stream. We’ll work closely with area hotels to establish an ongoing

partnership that will allow the venue to generate money for every room night booked by traveling teams, athletes,

referees, and supporters via the sports venue’s custom booking engine.

We can also work with the local CVB to ensure that they are doing everything they

can to promote your events, while also providing them with the most accurate

rooming numbers from area hotels.

It’s a win-win relationship.

GoAthlete works symbiotically with Convention and Visitor’s Bureaus to help better track the number of hotel room nights booked for specific events. CVB’s are funded by hotel taxes, and rely on accurate rooming numbers to justify spending. GoAthlete provides a private portal developed for CVB’s, which enables them to view full event reporting for area hotels.

What Does it Cost to have a custom booking engine?

There is no cost to the event for using a GoAthlete booking engine, and there are no strings attached. Sure, we could charge events or jack up the room rates, but we want your event to keep the money it generated while also providing your event goers with the lowest online room rate.

The success of your event is always our goal.

How does GoAthlete make money?GoAthlete works with hotels around the world and generates revenue from commissions paid by each hotel provider for promoting their property and helping to fill their rooms. The commission we receive is separate from the rebate, which is paid to the event from the hotel. GoAthlete doesn’t take any piece of the rebate; that belongs to you.
