Mini-project: Discovering ancient civilisations Description Goals and Objectives Grade Level: 10 In this lesson students organise a conference called “Ancient civilisations and archeological discoveries”. They prepare talks using GoogleEarth, YouTube, PowerPoint and different Internet resources. They take what they have learned and create a KLM file with a collection of placemarks that contain the name of the place, photos, video and some facts they learned about these ancient civilisations. Students will use the internet to make a research on ancient civilisations; create a collection of placemarks using Google Earth to quantify their learning; describe where and when the people lived; give details about what they looked like; describe what their lifestyle was like; explain what lesson we can learn from them.
