M. A. Mirjana Tomašević

She was born on 14th August 1967, in Belgrade.

She graduated in 1991 on the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. She completed postgraduate studies in 1994 on the same Faculty, class of the professor Božidar Džmerković. She is employed on the Faculty of Applied Arts, Graphics Department, as an Assistant Professor, main subject Printmaking.

She works in classic techniques of original graphics.

She is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia since 1992 and has been present in the visual art scene. She has ten solo exhibited at home and abroad. She often participates in biennials and triennials of graphics, and she takes part in graphic salons in the country and abroad (Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, France, Chech Republic, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Canada, Mexi-co, Indonesia, China).

FEELINGS THROUGH TIME

With this exhibition I tried to present the important aspects of my 10-year work. The exposition covers 2 main directions: a portrait and world of objects.A human, together with his inner world and physical characteristics, has always been the inspiration for me. The face of a woman with different features is my special object of interest. In all my works of art I try to present various emotional states, which is known for each of us. The second important segment of my work is the world of objects, which is au-thentic to time, space and emotion. The world of objects has always attracted me… everything that is around us… I reckon, the reality around us should go through the spiritual prizm of a painter and the result should be represented with the help of the specific artistic ways. I try to express my ideas and emotions with the usage of classical technologies of black and white or colourful graphic (linogravure, aquatint, lithography, dry point), find the artistic language which will help me with the realization of my esthetic conception, on the border of figuration and abstractizm.

ამ გამოფენით შევეცადე წარმომედგინა ჩემი ათი წლის შემოქმედების მნიშვნელოვანი ასპექტები. ექსპოზიცია მოიცავს ორ ძირითად მიმართულებას. ეს არის პორტრეტი და საგნობრივი სამყარო ზოგადად...ადამიანი, თავისი შინაგანი სამყაროთი თუ გარეგნული მახასიათებლებით ყოველთვის წარმოადგენდა ჩემიინსპირაციის წყაროს. განსაკუთრებულად მაინტერესებს განსხვავებული ხასიათის ქალის სახე. ყველა ნამუშევარშივცდილობ გადმოვცე განსხვავებული ემოციური მდგომარეობა, რაცუცხო არ არის თითოეული ჩვენთაგანისათვის.ჩემი შემოქმედების მეორე მნიშვნელოვან სეგმენტს წარმოადგენს საგნობრივი სამყარო, რომელიც დროის სივრცისადა ემოციის ავთენტიკურია. ყოველთვის მიზიდავდა ის ყველაფერი რაც ჩვენს გარშემოა… ვფიქრობ, გარემომცველი რეალობა უნდა გატარდეს მხატვრის სულიერ პრიზმაში და მიღებულიშედეგი გადმოიცეს კონკრეტული მხატვრული საშუალებებით. მე ვცდილობ შავ–თეთრი თუ ფერადი გრაფიკის კლასიკური ტექნოლოგიების გამოყენებით (ლინოგრავიურა, აქვატინტი, ოფორტი, ლითოგრაფია) გამოვხატო ჩემიიდეები და ემოციები, ფიგურატიულობისა და აბსტრაქტულობის ზღვარზე ვიპოვო ის მხატვრული ენა, რომელიც დამეხმარება ჩემი ესთეტიური კონცეფციის ხორცშესხმაში.
