Jesus meets the need of each disciple. To the fearful in theupper room, He speaks words of peace. To doubtingThomas, He provides the tangible proof of Hisresurrection. What do I need to become His disciple? What do I have to share that might meet someone else’sneed?Stewardship Thought: God has given each of us somespecial abilities. It is important that we use them to helpone another, passing on to others the many blessings thatGod has given us.A good estate plan provides security for a spouse and/orfamily. Every adult should prepare and work at abalanced estate plan. And be sure to include your parishin those plans.

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a
sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to
you, Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you
participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You,
Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you
did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return
after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine
Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to
do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings
upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. We
seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of
God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the
test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and
blessed Virgin. Amen.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Forbearance is a remarkable skill. I am
endlessly impressed by people who maintain their
composure while they feel their life slipping out of
their control. When a loved one falls ill, when a job
ends, when tragic destruction hits, it is easy to feel
angry, afraid, and even betrayed. The person with the
virtue of forbearance does not slip into self pity or self-
destructive behavior in such moments. They have a
bigger perspective—a vision that transcends the
present moment and sees this moment in the context of
the whole of life and even eternity. The person with
forbearance knows that all suffering, even death, has
its place and value for our growth and good.
We are invited to grow in the virtue of
forbearance during this time. Many of us have had the
illusion of control stripped away from us. We are
confined to very limited movement. We are unable to
visit friends and family. Our daily routines, so
comforting in their consistency, have been turned
upside down.
While worry is a natural response to the
imposition of reality upon our expectations, it does us
no good. When you feel your hope slipping and faith
fading, I invite you to sit with a passage from the
Gospel of Matthew. In Mt. 6:25-34, Jesus reminds us
of the truth of who we are in relationship with our
Creator. Simply put, He tells us everything is going to
be fine, come what may. It is from belief in His
assurances that forbearance can grow in our hearts.
Please know you remain in our daily prayers
here at the Mission. Please call if there is anything we
can do to support you, even if it is just to talk.
God bless you all!
Your Brother in Christ,
Msgr Chad Gion
