In addition to the variety of colours these are
finished in a variety of faceted cuts or cabochon and also occur in the form of star sapphires
More recently the Ceylon sapphire was showcased at the British Royal Wedding where a Sri Lankan blue sapphire made the centrepiece of the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding ring.

facility and use prevailing best local expertise in the finishing of fine gemstones

Natural/unheated Thermal treatment/heated Treated stones
As company policy, Khiards do not deal in artificially colour infused or treated stones and internationally recognised gemmological certification is provided on request for each gemstone sold.
The most common international Certificates are from Gubelin,GRS,GIA and from local labs such as the Gemmological institute of Colombo

grades, High quality natural and sometimes heat treated Ceylon sapphires in rare colours and cleanliness are much sort after by individual end user customers

These are then cut and polished in Sri Lanka by our gem cutters and then re-exported on the open market.
