»»»»»» An artefact of disruption, this publication investigates the roles of fashion in everyday lives Inserted guerrilla style in retail markets the oversized magazine blends the aesthetic schemes of high fashion with the semiotics of human conquest. Sortie posits that our sartorial duds are items of societal protection but control as well. The publication does not preach, but is instead presented as a diversion from the expected in a retail environment.

»»» Identity and lookbooks for an imaginary company that genetically modifies animals into modernised fashion accessories. Ark explores the human desire to meddle in the fate of our erstwhile and present animal companions. The logotype borrows from olden blackletter and didone type that display the unusual brand as a fashion statement as well as referencing its mythological nature. The illustration style alludes to the strange drawings of early european exploration, who drew ably but interpreted what they saw in a bizarre and imaginative manner.

»»» A card game that uses words as spells which players must use to overcome obstacles. I hunted down aged and obscure phrases in specialised dictionaries and presented them as illustrations. The design includes packaging, a companion book + 102 unique cards for this project. The word bletcherous became my favourite discovery. It indicates ugliness, specifically referring to design.

»»» A visual identity for the UTas Artists in Residence programme, designed in collaboration with my colleague Finley C. Smith. We were tasked with raising awareness of the program by designing a visual identity and developing a launch event. The identity is striking and vivid whilst retaining a versatility with the confetti spread of colours representing the interplay betwixt a variety of artistic disciplines and disparate personalities.

»»»»» A conceptual publication containing physical tools for augmentation of reality. Made in reaction to the swathe of web/app based augmention digitally available.

»»»»»»»» A conceptual esoteric map that I designed and surreptitiously placed in a rack of brochures at the Tas Tourism Bureau. It is intended to precipitate reflection on the experiences not found within a rack of brochures. The topography is printed on recycled shoebox paper, ironed out and fed through an inkjet.
