3. In These Rules. unless the context otherwise requires -

(a) "ACT'' for the purpose of these Scheme Rules means the Mad1wa Pradesti Yidyut Sudhar Adh1niyam, 2000 (No. 4 of 2001 );

(b) "Board" means Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board constituted under

Section 5 of the Electncity (Supply) Act, 1948 (54 of 1948),

(c) ~central Act'' means the Electricity Aci, 2003 (~fJ of 2003);

6. (1) The Undertakings forming part of Generation Undertakings 1:1s set out in Schedule - 'A' shall stand transferred to and vested in GENCO on and from the date of the transfer to be notified by the State Government suejact to the terms and conditions specified In the Act and these Scheme Rules.

IV. GENERAL:

(1) The assets of the dfstributlon undertaking shall vest in DISCOM 3

(2) Toe State Government shall betore the end ot the pro\llSIOMI psnoc mentlonec In Rule 10 allocate the l1ab1f1ties of MPSEB to DISCOM 3 to the extent and in such a manner as the State Govemment may deem proper.

FUNCTIONS AND UNDERTAKINGS RETAINED IN MPSEB

(1} Th~ hulk purchase and bulk supply functions, namely. purchase of electricity m bulk. from the generating companies including GENCO and supply of electricity in bulk to the DISCOMS MPSEB will not, however, undertake the activity of supply of electricity to anv consumer in the State of Madhya Pradesh from such date as the State Government may dlrect 10 this behalf.
