TRANSCRIPT

In order to prepare your child for middle school, he/ she will be switching classes during each school day. They will rotate to each teacher for a different subject. They will return to their homeroom in the afternoon.

Students will receive grades and homework assignments in each class by that teacher.

Behavior Plan- Class Dojo (positives/negatives)

RULES TO FOLLOW• Our school has embraced the methods of

Ron Clark. We use his book called The Essential 55 to structure our classrooms. We will spend the first week of school learning, practicing, acting out, and implementing these rules.

• We have high expectations for EVERY student in 5th grade. We do not allow students to just come to school and do whatever they want. Every student will participate in all class activities and complete all homework assignments. No student will be allowed to bully or cause a problem with anyone in the class because this breaks focus and spoils the learning environment.

• Students have been randomly placed into five different tribes. These are a mixture of students throughout the entire school.

• We will have weekly celebrations and tribal challenges to recognize accomplishments of each tribe.

• The purpose of these tribes is to encourage and motivate. We want each child to be supportive of others, those on their team and even those who are not.

We are Family!

MATERIALS Refer to the class supply list that was mailed to you.

These materials are required…not optional!

Please DO NOT label any of the materials. This will be handled on the first day of school.

It will be the responsibility of the STUDENT to bring all materials to each class every day. Students will NOT be allowed back into their homeroom to get something. This disrupts the teacher and the other students.
