By using a secure and protective sleeve in combination with an iPod, iPhone or iPad, Ingenico has invented a unique Smart Mobile POS. To provide maximum versatility, several different models of the iSMP are available to meet the unique needs of virtually every mobile merchant. Designed to work with Apple’s mobile devices, iSMP is officially MFI certified, meaning it is 100% compliant with Apple’s performance and development standards.

The iSMP is designed for merchants who need an all-in-one physically connected mobile solution with an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad. With embedded Bluetooth Class II, integrated 1D/2D barcode reader, long-lasting batteries, rugged design and industry leading PCI and EMV security, the iSMP gives you the freedom to do business any time, anywhere, with no worries.

The iSMP accepts all existing forms of electronic payment, including MSR credit and debit, smartcards, stored-value cards, contactless systems such as MasterCard PayPass® and VISA payWave™, EMV/chip & PIN cards, and mobile (NFC-enabled) applications; is fully EMV and PCI PTS V2 and V3 certified; and supports the latest point-to-point encryption (P2PE). That means customer transactions – in the store, in the aisle or in the field – are fast, efficient and secure.

Self-contained interface – just add your iPod touch, iPhone or iPadFor an all-in-one solution, simply slip your iPod touch or iPhone4 into the iSMP’s rugged docking sleeve to create a totally secure mobile payment platform. Using the optional Ingenico Smart Mobile Tablet (iSMT) accessory, the iSMP can be connected to work with iPad 2nd or 3rd generation tablets.
