MORAL MARGIN = the space between our destination and danger

Galatians 5:13, 16 ESV

13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh . . . 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Galatians 5:17 ESV17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

MORAL MARGIN = the space between the center of God’s will & sin’s slippery slope.

God’s will is for us to get as close to Christ as possible, so we’ll become like Him.

Danger is moving away from Christ & toward sin.

Danger isn’t at the bottom of the slippery slope;

it is the slippery slope!
