사람들을 위한 사람들의 삶에 실제적인 편리함을 주는 제품 디자이너가 되는 것은 어렸을 적부터 저의 꿈이었습니다.

대학 재학 시절에는 제가 추구하는 인간중심의 디자인을 위해 생물학과 제품 디자인 관련 지식을 쌓았으며, 밀라노에서 작품을 전시 및 판매한 적이 있습니다. 졸업한 이후에는 시카고에 위치한 fferrone design이란 제품 디자인 회사와 Beyond Design이란 산업 디자인 회사에서 제품 디자이너로서 근무하며 다양한 프로젝트에 참여했습니다. 저는 앞으로도 현대적이고 감각적이며, 편한 미니멀적 특성이 담긴 제품을 디자인 하고 싶습니다.

Which is better? Foil or Rotary Shavers

• In general, many foil shavers do give a closer shave than many rotary models.

• Speed makes a difference. a lot of foil model will likely have a very high vibration rate. In general, foil shavers cuts better than rotary shavers.

• Foil shaver is a lot easier to make a more efficient pattern in a relatively large curved rectangle than rotary shaver.

2014년 뉴욕 국제 현대가구 박람회 (International Contemporary Furniture Fair)에 Felicia Ferrone는 그녀가 준비한 컬렉션을 전시하였습니다. 그 중 fferrone design에서 인턴 디자이너로 근무하면서 제가 컨셉트부터 제작단계까지 참여한 작품들이 좋은 평을 받게 되어, 올해 몇몇 갤러리에서 전시되었으며, 제작/시판되고 있기도 합니다.

전시된 이 컬렉션은 나중에 ASID로부터 Best Furniture Collection이란 상을 받았습니다.


During Intertnational Contemporary Furniture Fair 2014, Felicia Ferrone exhibited a new collection of furniture and accessories at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from the sixteenth to the nineteenth of May 2014. She named one of her collection ‘Ahn Coffee Table’ , in recognition of my contribution to the development of the piece, from concept to production.

Felicia won Best Furniture Collection from ASID.

A study in positive and negative space, Ahn Coffee Table is ever changing depending on how it is positioned and viewed in a room. With its two asymmetrical and organic surfaces, Ahn is a sculpture in its own right, playing with balance and tension while serving as a coffee table.

During the Milan Design Week of 2014, I had an opportunity to exhibit and sell my designed product, Copy Watch, at Spazio Rossana Orlandi gallery. As a student designer from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), I designed a playful object that encourages a child’s interaction with people, places, and environments around them.

A new watch every day!

Copy Watch is a clay wrist watch, capturing the unique patterns that surround us. A Corian watch face, that holds a lump of clay, can be detached from the Velcro wrist strap and used to take impressions of any available surface. This imprint can then be worn as a fashion accessory, a short-term physical memory, or a prop for show-and-tell.
