Between a person and His Creator. Between a person and the mercy of Allah.

Between a person and sustenance in

abundance. Between a person and peace of mind and

contentment of the heart. Between a person and a peaceful time in

the grave. Between a person and Jannah.

Making Dua, doing repentance , giving charity.

By constantly checking and cleansing the heart.

By keeping check on thought process and staying focused.

By creating strong bond with Quran and sunnah.

“Doubtless, a heart grows tarnished like brass or silver, and its polish is by remembrance, which may make it

shine like a crystal mirror.  So when one neglects the remembrance it tarnishes, and when he returns it

shines.  Since the heart is tarnished by two things- heedlessness and sin- it is polished by two things: remembrance

and asking forgiveness.”-Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah
