INTRODUCTION

Poseidon, Most commonly referred as The God of the Sea, was also the god of earthquakes and horses. Poseidon was brother to Zeus and Hades. These three gods divided up the world . Zeus was ruler of the sky, Hades was the ruler of the Underworld and Poseidon was given all water, both fresh and salt.

POSEIDON’S PERSONALITY

Poseidon was a moody god His temper sometimes caused violence. When he was angry or in a bad mood he would flood cities or cause droughts. When he was in a good mood he would create new islands.

Poseidon’s looks

Poseidon looked very similar to Zeus, though he was thought to be more dark, and evil than him. Poseidon had a grey hair and beard. He is often shown wearing the colour blue.

Poseidon’s weapon is a trident and was made by Cyclopes. A trident is a three pronged spear used for fishing.

Poseidon showed his power and strength by striking the Acropolis with his trident, causing a salt water spring to appear.
