Psychologist

A psychologist, or a therapist works with people at schools, rehabilitation centers, correction facilities and/or clinics. They help their clients work towards and enhance their intellectual, emotional, physical, social and interpersonal functioning. In other words, they resolve their problems.

Duties

What psychologists do: Examine and assess the behavior, and provide

therapy to clients. Diagnose behavioral, emotional and cognitive

disorders. Help clients through grief, loss, physical illness and

disorders and life transitions. Apply psychological theory and principles for

behavior and mental process, such as learning, perception language development and memory.

Present at conferences, workshops or symposia. Provide consultation services for schools, and other

government organizations.

Working conditions and qualifications

Psychologists work with parents, couples, directly, or with groups or organizations; either that or traveling and/or convey presentations or perform research. Psychologists sometimes experience stress due to working with people’s mental issues and problems almost every day. Psychologists work at schools, correctional facilities, and hospitals of sorts.

Psychologists have under-average amount of occupations available for hire.

The salary for this job is over average. ~$64,255

Women make up 69% of this workface in B.C.

There are more jobs available in the lower mainland and the Vancouver island area then anywhere else in B.C.

Psychologists are employed in health care, social assistance, and education services industries.

Employment outlook

Over half of the employments come from retirements. But other jobs will open in mental and public health

needs. Opportunities will also open in private practice. Some may choose to work at a university, private

companies, or for the government involved in research and analysis.

There are also jobs if you have a bachelors degree to assist mental health professionals at clinical settings, etc.

Graduates who are good at neuropsychology and forensic psychology are wanted more then other types of psychologists.

perform on stage or for motion picture films, TV shows, etc.

duties

Actors can do various things: Study, practice and rehearse lines from a

script to learn a role. Act, speak, sing or perform roles on TV,

movies, the radio, commercials, motion picture movies, plays and narration.

Sing and/or dance for specific roles. Perform stand up comedy at night clubs, etc. Improvise for any above.

Working conditions and qualifications

Somewhere where the humidity and heat is noticeably different the normal rooms.

With groups of people. Working outside exposed to weather. Inside a car or vehicle. Sometimes in places that can injure the

actor like underground, or in construction sites.

Working in water.

-44% of employees are women which is average.-Actors generally get ~$32,893 per year (more depending on the popularity of the show, etc.)-92% of all employments for this job are in the lower mainland.-If an actor is working full time, he is working for only 11% of the year.-there are no job openings in caribou and the north coast.

-about 14,000 people involved in creating and performing arts in 2010 in the lower mainland.-There is an expected 3,200 job openings going to be available from 2010-2015, so there will be an excess amount of employments.-in the north-west there were 15 job opportunities and 15 employments so there is an equal number of employments.-there is a balanced amount of employments on Vancouver island.

matters, represent clients in court, AND HELP SUE PEOPLE!

Duties

Help with civil disputes. Draft legal documents. Ex: Divorce

licenses, wills, etc. Gather evidence. Advise clients in court. Advise clients in legal matters.

Working conditions and qualifications.

Lawyers work in court, law offices, offices, etc.

Lawyers work longer hours then other common jobs.

They undergo pressure and stress sometimes when appearing in a court house.

Work hours are not set and change often. Layers go through at lest two to three years

of undergraduate studies. You need a membership in the law society to

be a lawyer in B.C.

Current workface

There is an exceeding amount of job opportunities working full-time through-out the year.

Lawyers make an excellent amount of money annually compared to other jobs. (about $126,000 per year)

Like most jobs in B.C, the most opening happen in the lower mainland.

35% of lawyers in B.C. are women Lawyers work for 66% of the year.

Employment outlook

Job openings are expected to Increase in the future to replace retiring lawyers.

Like any other job, more experienced lawyers will make it easier for them to get a job.

Recent graduates will most likely be associate lawyers, then in the future, become lawyers in the future.
