Kimberley.—On tbe 23rd October last, from tbe but of John Desmond, at La Grange Bay,—double barrelled gun, powder flask, aud sbot belt, tbe pro­perty of Jobn Desmond. Ab. nats. Alick and Abraham, Escaped Prisoners, committed this rob­bery.—C.I. 516.

Murder. On tbe 25tb ult . , while two men named E l i P r i m

and George Eussel l were employed mak ing some excavations to erect a manger in a bui ld ing a t tached to a dwelling bouse kuown as Stokes Station, W a n ­neroo, they came upon some human remains , which upon removal and examination by the police and Colonial Surgeon proved to be those of an adul t male, apparent ly about 45 years of age. The re­mains were about 2ft. below tbe surface, and bad evidently been buried with the clothes on, as the Wots were still on the feet, and decayed clothing

V^as found on the body. The iron handle of a cross­cut saw dropped from the skull when i t was removed from the ground. A pocket knife, threepenny piece, and a match box were also found. These remains are supposed to be those of Michael H a n d s , exp., late 7716, who resided at the bouse about tbe year 1880 (and has not since been heard of), with a man named Edward Jenkinson, who has been arrested on suspicion of having caused bis dea th .

Mail horses " Eclipse " and " Mahomet" therein described have been found.

Murder. On tbe 2Sth ult., while two men named Eli Prim

and George Eussell were employed making some excavations to erect a manger in a building attached to a dwelling house known as Stokes Station, Wan­neroo, they came upon some human remains, which upon removal and examination by tbe police and Colonial Surgeon proved to be those of an adult male, apparently about 45 years of age. The re­mains were about 2ft. below the surface, and had evidently been buried with tbe clothes on, as the boots were still on the feet, and decayed clothing was found on the body. Tbe iron handle of a cross-cjjt saw dropped from tbe skull when it was removed

'from the ground. A pocket knife, threepenny piece, and a match box were also found. These remains are supposed to be those of Michael Hands, exp., late 7716, who resided at tbe house about tbe year 1880 (and has not since been beard of), with a man named Edward Jenkinson, who has been arrested on suspicion of having caused his death.

Murder. On the 25th ult., while two men named E l i Pr im

and George Russell were employed making some excavations to erect a manger in a bui lding at tached to a dwelling house known as Stokes Station, W a n ­neroo, they came upon some human remains , which upon removal and examination by the police and Colonial Surgeon proved to be those of an adul t male, apparently about 45 years of age. The re­mains were about 2ft. below the surface, and had evidently been buried with the clothes on, as the

xKoots were still on tbe feet, and decayed clothing was found on the body. The iron handle of a cross­cut saw dropped from the skull when it was removed from the ground. A pocket knife, threepenny piece, and a match box were also found. These remains are supposed to be those of Micbael H a n d s , exp., late 7716, who resided at the house about the year 1880 (and has not since been heard of), with a man named Edward Jenkinson, who has been arrested on suspicion of having caused his death . . ,

Missing Friend. Officers in charge of Sub-Districts will cause in­

quiry to be made for the undermentioned person, whohas been missing from his home, Goderich street, Perth, since the 18th inst., viz.:—David Oates (boy), middling stout, age 11 years, about 3ft. lOin. high, brown hair, black eyes, round visage, fair complexion, dressed in light coat, dark trousers, black soft felt hat, with two holes in it, barefooted.

A boy answering above description seen with " Rook's " team going in the direction of Wandering. Result of inquiries to be reported to Detective Office, Perth.
