اخلاص لله - sincerity for allah

For the sake of Allah only..
During the time of Prophet Musa, there was a pious man, who used to pray day and night
on the roof of his house. One day some people came and told there was a tree.....
What is Ikhlas? “Ikhlas means purging actions of all impurities.” And the ‘impurities’ mean desire to please oneself and other creatures.
Sincerity has been interpreted as being
upright, sincere, truthful, pure and distant from show and ostentation in one's intention and conduct.
ين • ا لهه ٱلد مخلص قل إنى أمرت أن أعبد ٱلله
ل ٱلمسلمين (11-12) وأمرت لن أكون أوه
“Say: ‘Verily, I am commanded to serve Allah with sincere devotion; and I am
commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah in Islam.” (Az-
Zumar: 11-12)
A Prerequisite of worship
ين حنفاء ويقيموا مخلصين له ٱلد وما أمروا إله ليعبدوا ٱلله
كوة وذٲلك دين ٱلقيمة لوة ويؤتوا ٱلزه ٱلصه
And they are ordered naught else than to serve Allah, keeping religion pure for Him, as men by nature upright, and to establish worship and to pay the poor-due. That is
true religion. (5) (surah al- bayyinah)
Ibn al Qayyem said..
"Deeds without sincerity are like a traveler who carries in his water-jug dirt. The carrying of it burdens him and it brings no benefit."
How to have sincerity?
• By making du’a.
• By checking our intention before doing every action.
• By keeping our private and secret life the same.
• Analyzing ourselves do we want praise and acknowledgement?
