In 2015 has an annual revenue of R$ 943,716,757.29 ( ¥ 1,57 billion) and it will exceed R$3 billion (¥ 5 bi) after the operation of the assets already auctioned untill now.
SGBH’s investments cover 4 regions and 12 states of Brazilian territory.
For the future, SGBH has plans of to invest also in Distribution and Generation, with special focus on renewable energy.
State Grid Brazil Holding – SGBH – is the Brazilian Subsidiary Company of the Giant “State Grid Corporation of China”.
In 2010, Brazil was chosen for the first major investment of the conglomerate in non Asian countries: Had invested about R$ 3,97 billion (¥ 6,61 bi), acquiring its first seven (7) Transmission Companies.
SGBH owns 16 and has 51% participation in 5 concessionaires, totaling 21 of 140 Transmission Companies operating in Brazil nowadays.

Main Project: Establish a centralized control and maintenance center to enhance the operation management
- Integrate the original system and resources, which was located in different regional operation centers, to establish a unified operation and monitoring center in Rio;
- Realize the centralized monitoring, remote control, online training and emergency management functions. Access to ONS (National System Operator) for centralized dispatching.

“SGCC Rio Tower (2012) – Av. Presidente Vargas, 955 Rio de Janeiro, RJIn 2012, State Grid Brazil Holding inaugurated its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. With an investment of more than R$ 200 million ( ¥ 330 million RMB) , the head office occupies a building certified Green Building Gold, granted by the US Green Building Council organization, establishing sustainable construction criteria.
Strengthen Local Cooperation and Technology Exchange
- On April, 2011, SGCC and Eletrobras signed the MOU in Beijing during President Dilma’s visit to China. Minister of MME witnessed the signing process.
- On August, 2011, the MOU between SGCC and ONS was signed in Rio de Janeiro.
- Organize experts exchange with EPE, ANEEL and other related parties
- Send our local staffs to SGCC’s training centers in China.
- On July 2014, Signed BM cooperative agreement under the witness of presidents of Brazil and China.
Added Value to Brazilian Power Sector
- Best practices in design, construction, dispatching, O&M and management of large power grid.
- Introduce UHV and smart grid technology to Brazil.
- SGCC united with Eletrobras companies won the auction of first bipole of Belo Monte transmission project.
