Key Findings

• Successful warehouse implementations are always a combination of WMS, people and adequate tools and methodologies.

• Regional support needs to be started/increased.• We urgently need to improve our knowledge

management capabilities in relation to selling, implementing and operating a WMS.

• A standardized operational process will significantly facilitate WMS implementation.

WMS Strategy• A common global WMS-strategy• A multiple-system strategy that supports

– Medium to complex facilities using the default system– Basic facilities using Lite WMS version– Targeted industry markets may require their own specific

global WMS– Customers require us to use their WMS – EXceed will remain as our default WMS

• Procurement will be done at the global level• The WMS strategy will be governed by a

Global Contract Logistics Council• Costs will be allocated to local organizations based on

a clear methodology
