Reasons

The murder enraged Blacks in the north and south.

Emmit’s trial attracted attention world-wide.

Emmit Till’s murder attracted the attention of the NAACP along with the help of his mother.

People in the south added to the civil rights movement.

Seeing what had happened to Emmit Till people in the south joined in the civil rights movement.

People in Mississippi started to convert themselves as well and join the civil rights movement.

Fearing from seeing Emmitt Tills Corpse the strength of the civil rights movement grew stronger

Emmitt Tills wrongful trial brought the need for retribution to the civil rights movement.

The acquittal of Emmitt Till’s murderers enraged blacks in the south.

The murder was promoted as a “lynching”

All white jury had acquitted the Murderers making people even angrier.

The NAACP and Emmitt Tills mother added to the Movement. The NAACP supported Emmitt Till’s

murder calling it unrighteous. The NAACP and Emmitt's mother

tried many times to reopen the case.

Emmitt's mother went around the world telling people of the horrible tragedy of her son.
