Ultimate Chicago is a non-
profit organization of more than 2,000 players
in the greater Chicagoland area. Providing spirited, competitive play for all
skill levels, Ultimate Chicago is dedicated to
the growth of Ultimate as a sport while promoting the Spirit of the Game.
What is Ultimate?
Ultimate is an exciting, non-contact team sport, played by thousands the world over. It mixes the best features of sports
such as Soccer, Basketball and American Football
into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and
demanding game. To compete at the top level, Ultimate players require an unmatched degree of
speed, stamina and agility.
Basic play begins with two teams of seven at the
front of each endzone – similar to American
Football endzones. The
offensive team will receive the disc on a ‘pull’
from the defense to put the disc into play. The
objective is to complete passes to teammates to
score a goal in the endzone. The thrower
cannot run with the disc, but passes to cutting
receivers.
For additional rules of the game, visit www.USAU.org
for further details.
Where can I play?
Ultimate Chicago provides league play in the spring, summer, fall and winter
for Chicago and the surrounding suburbs on
grass, beach and indoors. All leagues are co-ed and
provide a variety of formats that welcome players of various skill
levels.
Spring League – The spring offers three
divisions for Ultimate including an advanced league for seasoned players and a lower
division that lends itself to player development and
instruction. Registration is in February, and play
begins in March.
Summer League –Currently underway, a
draft league allows beginners to compete with advanced players
providing an instructional forum for play.
Registration begins in April, starts in June.
Beach League – Two beach leagues also run
during the summer. One league is specifically for
beginners to introduce the sport of ultimate.
Registration is in May and play begins in June.
Fall League – This BYOT (Bring Your Own Team)
format allows friends and former teammates the
chance to show their stuff together. All players are welcome and if you can’t find a team, we can help!
Registration in August.
Ultimate Chicago’s website also includes
information on pick-up games and learning
clinics.

Ultimate Chicago Sandblast is proud to
support Imerman Angels as our charitable
beneficiary.
Imerman Angels carefully matches and individually pairs a person touched by cancer (a cancer fighter or
survivor) with someone who has fought and
survived the same type of cancer (a Mentor Angel).
Cancer caregivers (spouses, parents,
children and other family and friends of fighters)
also receive 1-on-1 connections with other
caregivers and survivors. These 1-on-1 relationships inspire hope and offer the
chance to ask personal questions and receive support from someone who is uniquely familiar with the experience. The service is absolutely free
and helps anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any cancer stage level, at any age, living anywhere
in the world.
Please visit their booth and you can read more about
them at:

Thank you for your support and donations to this great
cause.
