2. GENERAL INFORMATION
2.1 Karachi Expo Center Silent Features:
Karachi Expo Center is centrally located opposite civic center in full secured surroundings and equipped with adequate facilities to hold international exhibitions. It comprises the congress center and six exhibition halls interlinked through an atrium and corridors. The congress center houses, the main reception on ground floor, the exhibition halls 1 & 2 are directly linked with the large congress center area where the reception & press briefing area shall be located. Expo center management officers , utility buildings , security officers and a mosque adjacent gate# 2 facing Sir Shah Suleiman road , car parking are all encompassed within the expo center compound .

2.2 Useful Information for International Exhibitors /Visitors.
2.2.1 CLIMATE
Karachi being port city had a humid climate with temperature seldom rising 45⁰Celsius in summer and falling below 10⁰ Celsius in winter when cold winds blows from Quetta.
2.2.2 CURRENCY
The currency prevalent in the country is Pakistani Rupees “PKR” (1 US $ is approx equal to PKR 104.70) as of March 09, 2016.
2.2.3 LANGUAGES
English is the official and Urdu is a national language of Pakistan. All official correspondence is done in English, which is very well spoken and understood in business circles throughout Pakistan.

Immigration authorities at Pakistani airport are authorized to issue 30 days visa on arrival (VOA) to the businessman entering Pakistan from 60+ countries listed under:

The Ministry of Interior is responsible for granting/extending visas to the foreigners (other than Indian nationals whose cases are dealt by the IP & N Wing of the Ministry of Interior).
Note: The Indian nationals and the foreigners of Indian origin must request the Organizers minimum 8 weeks before the Event with the particulars and documents of the intending visitors as mentioned in Form #1.
All foreigners are exempt from registration with the Police except the nationals of above countries as well as such other foreign nationals who are directed by the immigration authorities to report to FRO for registration and a stamp is affixed to this effect on their passports. Visas are required for nationals of these countries:
Algeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Nigeria, P.L.O, Serbia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT HANDLING & ONSITE LIFTING. WEIGHT & DIAMENTIONS OF EXHIBITS & MACHINERY
To ensure the proper control and co-ordination, only the Official Logistic Service Provider is permitted to work in-hall and operate lifting equipment. Only Official Service Provider may deliver goods to the exhibition halls, for delivery to the booth. If the exhibit is particularly sensitive, Exhibitor may appoint a supervisor to accompany and advise on handling the equipment. Official Logistic Service Provider’s staff will be available at the exhibition site during the move-in and move-out periods.

To ensure the proper control and co-ordination, only the Official Logistic Service Provider is permitted to work in-hall and operate lifting equipment. Only Official Service Provider may deliver goods to the exhibition halls, for delivery to the booth. If the exhibit is particularly sensitive, Exhibitor may appoint a supervisor to accompany and advise on handling the equipment. Official Logistic Service Provider’s staff will be available at the exhibition site during the move-in and move-out periods.
