SummaryGive a short summary (in Swedish and English) of the planned project, including planned activities and expected results.
Sums applied forSums are normally given exclusive of VAT. Applicants at universities and university colleges in Sweden should specify indirect costs as well as the planned co-financing from the university. A detailed full cost estimate following SUHF’s model should be enclosed. If the STI only grants part of the applied sum, the university/university college is assumed to contribute with the same percentage of cofinancing as stated in the application. For grants administered by other bodies than Swedish universities/university colleges the STI will automatically increase the applied sum (normally by 35%), to cover indirect costs.Salaries: The following standard sums are used:Ph.D. student 550 000 SEK/year (maximum 4 years), Post-doc in Sweden 620 000 SEK/year (maximum 3 years), Guest researcher 765 000 SEK/year (maximum 3 years), Senior Researcher 800 000 SEK/year (maximum 3+3 years). When standard sums are not applicable the estimated cost should be given, including all salary costs (but excluding indirect costs, see above).Material etc.: Should be summarized in consumables, computer costs etc. Further specifications can be presented in the project description. Grants for expensive equipment (>100 000 SEK) are only given in exceptional cases (if carefully justified).
