Tips: The sentence structure is longer and the vocabulary is fancy. Take it slow- look for subject/verb. Picture the action. The first page and a half sets up the story, then it gets easier. This is a story with an interesting lesson about love.

The Wife of Bath’s Tale by Geoffrey Chaucer (page 182-192)

Tips: It is written in rhyming couplets so it will read quickly. Don’t let allusion/references bog you down, stick to the main story she is telling. Follow the punctuation- read until the sentence stops. Remember this is a story the Wife of Bath tells to entertain us and teach a lesson to men.
