1. Review Minutes- approved with no changes

2. Action Item Update

a. #18- open- communications audit is still in progress

b. #20- officially closed

c. #31- event reps have been switched, Megan Pedigo is waiting for information to come from the new rep

d. #34- committee strongly encouraged to share Bullets Over Broadway video on social media

3. Strategic Plan Initiatives

a. Refers to #8- Jo Stowell and Cara Allen discuss meeting to discuss how they would like to report. Anne Clayton says that it is more of a budget vs. actual numbers, and the way that Cara and Jo report are slightly different- Cara reporting 2-3 years out, Jo reporting “after the fact.”

b. 2 Successesi. Social media reach is up 24% overall via boosted posts, Instagram advertising has tripled

ii. Business of Art- registration sold out, many diverse sessions, used multiple locations of the PCC and had a nice mixer afterwards

c. 2 Struggles- i. Educating the public on Broadway series titles has been difficult, but many TV and radio

interviews have been set up to spread the wordd. Customer Service Scores-

i. Scores came back very positive; four surveys returned, three from repeat clients. A shout out to SAVOR was made for very positive comments on staff and food at an event. The slightly lower security scores returned to higher numbers after the security mishap in December was cleared up.

ii. Anne Clayton comments on the new security changes that will be implemented beginning with the Luke Bryan concert. She says that six metal detectors have been ordered and that all other measures have been implemented to protect the patrons and artists in light of recent events.

iii. Megan Pedigo adds that the PCC is trying to make the transition as smooth as possible by keeping communication high through e-blasts, updating the website and newsroom, and having a pop-up start the week before the concert to ensure that patrons know to come early.

e. Economic Impact- one sheet reviewed: i. Megan Pedigo and Cara Allen report and the group establishes that the biggest focus of the report

is the Business Sales (Direct) and the Total ROI (%). ii. Travis Mohlenbrink questions if there is a better way to see year-to-year values in customer

service reviews in order to determine if going back after lost business or replacing it with new business is best.

iii. Jo Stowell comments that we want the number of events to go up so that we can discuss internally how to add another section to the customer reviews to determine that action.

iv. Travis suggests that monthly stats might be more accurate and helpful. v. Anne Clayton comments that the ticket industry has changed, but that the convention industry has

also changed, and suggests that Travis, Jo, Mean Pedigo, and she meet to create an analysis to educate the committee on what has happened.

vi. Andrew VanDeweghe adds that particular clients need to be educated specifically on which restaurants are available to do quick service lunches that are affordable for guests.

4. Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Updatea. Cory Hatfield says that a partnership is coming up with the Illinois Society Association. The CVB

will be heading to Springfield to attend the Association for Association of Executives, as well as a conference in Dallas to “speed date” with events and organizations to see if any would be positive additions to bring to the area.

b. A shout out was made for booking the Illinois Reading Council event for another three years from 2018-2020.

c. SAVOR… won the Newcomer of the Year Award through the Heart of Illinois Hospitality Association this week.

5. Street Talk a. Sherneka Cagle says that the State of the City meeting got a lot of positive feedback and that

SAVOR… was highly praised. b. ILMEA was a great boost for Sugar and other downtown hotels and restaurants. Andrew

VanDeweghe reports that One World was said to have had one of its best days in history during that event.

c. Clare Zell adds that video testimonials are in progress in order to help bring new business and share with the public why people are using the PCC for events.
