Session 2011-12

1. Diwali Celebration:

Diwali celebration was celebration on 25th Oct. 2011 by Cultural Club. A

'Card Making & Deep Decoration' Competition was held on this occasion.

Maximum students participated in the competition. Students made very

beautiful cards and Deeps were decorated very beautifully by the students.

Results of the competition were announced by the Sudha Chaudhary,

Incharge of the cultural committee. Richa, Kamaljeet and Saumya got prizes

in the Card Making. Satwant and Aastha got prizes in Deep Decoration.

Principal, Incharges of the cultural club and all the staff members were

present in the programme. At the end of the programme everybody pledged

to celebrate Diwali peacefully without using crackers.

2. Haryana Day:

The 46th Haryana Day was celebrated in a traditional way with great zeal and

zest in the S.B.D. College campus. On 31st October 2011. Multipurpose Hall

was decorated with Haryanvi theme by the cultural club. Different cultural

programme were presented by college students. Students showed their

dynamic cultural heritage in this programme. Haryanvi Dance and Ragini

was the main attraction of the Haryana Day programme. Everyone enjoyed

and appreciated the whole programme. Mr. and Mrs. Gupta Managing

Director of the college Principal, all faculty members of the college present

on this occasion.

3. Lohri Celebration:

There are certain festivals that are celebrated in college with great pomp &

show and Lohri was one of them. Lohri was celebrated on 13 th Jan. 2012 by

the cultural club of S.B.D. College of Education. The programme was

started with lighting and lamp by the honourable chief guest Mr. Roshan Lal

Gupta. He gave motivational speech for encouraging and motivating the

students and told the story about Lohri to all. About 30 students participated

in Lohri Celebration. Some students sang the Lohri Song "Dula Bhatti

Wala". The Chief Guest of the Programme Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta invited for

Lohri Bonfire. Sweets (gachak, rewaries, Popcorn, Peanmts were distributed

by the students. At the end Dr. Puneet Walia gave his best wishes to all and

congratulate all the students for the successful programme. All the staff

members were present on Lohri function.

4. Talent Hunt: (2011-12)

Talent Hunt show was organized with great Pomp and Show on 15 th March

2012. Students participated in Talent Hunt with lot of zeal and enthusiasm.

The programme was started with 'Deep Prajwalan' . After that Saraswati

Vandana was chanted by the melodies voice of sunita, Ritika, Sheetu and

Jyoti. Different event was presented by the students. 60 students were

showed their talent by different event e.g. singing, Dancing, Fashion show,

poetry, skit etc. The objective of organizing Talent Hunt is to out the hidden

talent in the students in different geners. Talent Hunt was organized by

Cultural Committee. In t he end of the Programme Principal appricipated

and encouraged the participants. Final results were declared by the judges.

Aman got prize as a best dancer, Raj as a best singer, Manju as a best Poet,

Sukhbir and Santosh as a best Actor and Devyajyoti as a best Actress.

Session 2012-13

Mehandi Competition(2012-13)

Mehandi Competition was organized by Cultural club on 30th Oct., 2012. Many students participated in this competition. The performance of the students was good. Prncipal Dr. Jitender Sharma appreciated and members of cultural club for their good efforts.

Talent Hunt (2012-13)

A Mega Talent Hunt was organized in College Campus by cultural club on 17th Dec., 2012. The objective of organizing Talent Hunt is to sort out the hidden talent in students in different geners.

The competition was organized in various geners:- Singing, Dancing, Poetry, Speech, Mono acting, Skit, Modelling.

The performance of students was awesome.

Lohri Celebration (2012-13)

Lohri was celebrated in college campus by cultural club with a lot of exuberance and funfare on 12th Jan, 2013. The programme was started with bonfire of Lohri, Following activities were performed :- Solo Dance, Group Dance, Jokes and games. Popcorns, Peanuts & Sweets were distributed to the students. At the end of celebration, Principal Dr. Jitender Sharma gave his best wishes to all students and faculty members. Everybody enjoyed it.

Cultural Fest (2013-14)

Culture in simple words can be said as identity where common values, attitudes, preferences, knowledge etc. are the attributes to the behavior in the particular social group and that can have a positive negative influence on social development in a given country or region. This identity also plays very important role in making people self motivated in the social activities. An inter-state culture programme cultural fest' was organized on Jan. 28, 2014 by the college in collaboration with Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Haryana.

The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Sh. Hanuman Narayan, National Secretary of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Haryana. The chief guest lit the lamp accompanying by chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta and Principal Dr. Jitender Kumar Sharma welcomed the Chief Guest. Also senior citizens of the society and head of different educational institution were illited in the programme. The chairman of college Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta gave motivational speech and warm welcome to all guest difference activities related to various culture (Haryanavi, Gujrati, Odisha culture) were performed with great zeal & zest.

Following activities were performed to show Manipuri:-

Every performance of Manipuri culture was amazing.

Our college students also performed activities of different culture i.e., Haryanvi, Gujrati, Punjabi and odiya. Parmeet showed the Haryanvi culture by presenting Haryanvi Dance. His performance was mind blowing. Gujrati culture was also showed by Rajni and Renuka. Their performance was very amazing and impressive. Duet song, Punjabi dance by Sandeep, Gidda, Sambhalpuri Dance, Bhangra were also performed by our college students

Many students participated in cultural fest. Each and every item had left permanent impression in the heart of everyone present there, Everybody enjoyed and the programme. All were happy to see and praised the different culture. At the end of programme, Dr. Jitender Sharma gave an inspirational speech in which he urged to uplift the Vanvasi Kalyan Aashram. He also blessed the Manipuri's Vanvasi and appreciated their performance.

Dussehra Celebration:-

Dussehra was celebrated in traditional way on Oct., 12, 2013 by cultural club. The programme ws inaugurated by Chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta, Principal Dr. Jitender Kumar with lightening of lamp. Following events were performed on this occasion.

1. Hanuman Chalisa (Individual & Group) 2. Play (related to Ramayana) 3. Speech 4. Chopai5. Paly an Modern Ramayana

Dusshera celebration is one of our traditional festival which tells and is inspired by the characters of Ramayana. Many students participated with great zest and zeal and gave their best performance. A great performance was done by Sandeep, Sanjeev, Sukhdev, Vikesh, Vaishali, Vishnu, Prince and Priyanka in play an modern Ramayana. In this play, they used modern things i.e., mobile, I-Phone, I-Pad.

At the end of celebration, Dr. Jitender Sharma gave motivational speech to encourage the participants and congratulated all students and faculty members for successful programme.

Mehandi Competition (2013-14)

Mehandi Competition was organized by cultural club on Oct. 21, 2013 on the occasion of Karva Chauth.

The organiser of Mehandi Competition were Mrs. Mukesh Devi (Incharge of Cultural Club), Mrs. Sudha Chaudhary, Dr. Manju Mishra, Mrs. Anjali Sharma (Co-incharges of Cultural Club). It was inaugurated by Chairman, Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta. After inauguration Mrs. Mukesh Devi announced the rules of Mehandi

Competition. 28 students (Girls as well as boys) participated in this competition. Mrs. Sudesh Gupta and Mrs. Shilpi were the judges. After the completion of Mehandi Competition, Judges observed Mehandi of all participants carefully and prepared the result. Mrs. Sudha Chaudhary announced the result. Sheenam got 1st position, Suman and Neeraj got 2nd position and Renuka got 3rd

Position. Prizes and certificates were awarded to winner pupils by Principal and faculty members. After awarding prizes and certificates Mrs. Sudesh Gupta appreciated the performance of all participants and gave them blessings. At the end of competition, vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Mukesh Devi.

Haryana Day (2013-14)

The 48th Haryana Day was celebrated in a traditional way with great zeal and enthusiasm at Seth Banarsi Dass College of Education on 31st Oct 2013.

In this programme welcome speech was given by our Principal Dr. J.K. Sharma. The programme was started by lightening the lamp. Following activities were performed by the students:-

Solo Dance, Group Dance, Jokes, Duet Songs, Mime, Drama.

A guest performance was given by music teacher Sh. Sarbjeet Singh. Our Chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta, Principal Dr.

Jitender Sharma and all faculty members of college present on this occasion.

Lohri Celebration (2013-14)

Lohri was celebrated at S.B.D. College of Education with a lot of exuberance and funfare on 13th Jan 2014. The programme was started with lightening the lamp by our honourable chief guest Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta. List of the events are as follows Lohri story, solo Dance, group dance, Jokes and games The chief guest of the programme was invited for Lohri Bonfire. Sweets were distributed by the students. At the end, our Principal gave his best wishes to all. All the staff members were present on this occasion.

2)Club Events:- i) Celebration of Science Day by Dr. C.V. Raman Science Club:-

A Science quiz context was held on the occasion of Science day organized by Science Club on 28th Feb. 2014 in the college. The function was inaugurated by Dr. Jitender Sharma, Principal of Seth Banarsi Dass College of Eduation. Incharge of eh Science Quiz Context was Mrs. Mona Goyal. Rules and regulations were explained by Mrs. Mona Goyal. Total five teams had participated in the context.

Scoring was written on the balck board and at last result was announced by Mrs. Mona Goyal. Prizes were given by Principal.

ii) Organisation of Blood Donation Camp by Maharishi Charak Health Club:- BLOOD DONATION CAMP:-

A blood donation camp was organized by S.B.D. College of Education on 25th April 2013. Lt. Gen (Dr.) D.D.S. Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, KUK was Chief Guest and guest of honour was Shiv Kumar, Civil Surgeon, Kurukshetra, Principal Sir, Dr. Jitender Kumar Sharma, all staff members and students were present in the Blood Donation Camp firstly welcome of Vice Chancellor by Chairman, Gen. Secretary and Principal, Then inauguration of Blood Donation Camp by lightening of candle. Saraswati Vandana was presented by some girls of college. Welcome speech was given by Principal Sir. A speech was given by Vice Chancellor. A poster making competition was organized in which 15 students were participated in that. A slogan writing competition was organized in which 13 students were participated in that prize distribution of these competitions were taken place. In last vote of thanks was by respected Chairman sir.

Ramanujan's Birthday Celebration

Event Date: 22,2011

The birthday of Great Mathematician Ramanujan was celebrated by Ramanujan maths club on Dec. 22, 2011. A quiz contest was organized on this occasion. The five teams were selected for this quiz contest. The incharge of this event was Dr. Puneet Walia.

In the beginning of the quiz, Dr. Puneet Walia explained the rules of the quiz to participants. There were five diffirent rounds of questions. The following were the judger of the event.

On completition of quiz contest, Mrs. Mukesh Devi announced the result. As per the result, Team B got first position and Team D got 2nd

The prize were given to the winning teams on the spot. At the end of event, Chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta appreciated

Ramanujan Maths Club for their good efforts and congratulated the winning teams. The Principal, Dr. Trilochan Beura also congratulated the winning team as well as Dr. Puneet Walia for their successful completion of the event.

SESSION-2012-13

CELEBRATION OF RAMANUJAM BIRTHDAY

Ramanujam's birthday was celebrated in college campus on 20th Dec, 2012 by Maths club. A general discussion was held on topic 'Contribution of Shri nivas ramanujam in mathematics". The programme was inaugurated with lighting of lamp by Chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta. Many students participated in this. the discussion was concluded by Mrs. Mukesh Devi. Sweets were

distributed among students and faculty members. At the end of programme , Principal appreciated the participants and Mrs. Mukesh Devi for successful completion of programme. It was memorable programme and everybody enjoyed it.

SESSION-2013-14

CELEBRATION OF RAMANUJAM BIRTHDAY

Event Date: 21st Dec., 2013

our pupil teacher at Govt. Middle school Bahri (kkr.) celebrated the birth anniversary of greatest ever mathematician SRINIVAS RAMANUJAN

under the supervision of Mrs. Mukesh Devi (Incharge of Ramanujan Maths Club) on Dec. 21, 2013.

First of all, we all paid our homage of Ramanujan that was the best part of celebration.

Then quiz competition was orgnised for school students. There were four team and each team comprises of two students. This quiz competition was won by Team A by taking position 1st tehn at second position Team B stand.

In later half, model and chart competition were there. Each pupil teacher participated in competition. Competition was supervised by Principal Dr. Jitender Kumar of our college, Dr. Susanta Mohanty and all teachers of Govt. Middle school, Bahri (kkr.)

Manjit Kaur, Suman and Ravi Singla got 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively in working model. Kapil Dhull, Pooja and Rohini got 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively in Non-working model Rajni and Charan Singh got 1st

and 2nd position in chart competition.

All the winners were honored with prizes.

At the end of celebration, Mrs. Mukesh Devi presented thanks speech to school staff, Principal Dr. Jitender Kumar as well as all the participants.

i) Youth Day

A report on Youth Day on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Birthday was held on 11th Jan. 2014 organised by Social Science Club. The programme was inaugurated by Chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta and Principal Dr. Jitender Kumar en-lightening of lamp was held during the beginning of the programme.

Respected Principal and all his faculty members did pushpanjali at the picture of Swami Vivekananda speech and poem recitation was held on this occasion. In the end of the programme speech was delivered by Principal Dr. Jitender Kumar through the light on the life and achievements of Swami Vivekananda

ii) Quiz Competition on Ramayana organize by Social Science Club:-

A quiz contest was held on the occasion of Balmiki Jayanti on 17th

Octorber, 2013 in Seth Banarsi Dass College of Education by Social Science Club Mrs. Saroj, Mrs. Lakhbir Kaur and Mrs. Sudha Chaudhary. The function was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Jitender Kumar. Mrs. Saroj briefly told the life sketch of Balmiki certain rules were fixed regarding Qiz which were announced by Mrs. Sudha five teams & was selected by Lottery system.

In every round various questions regarding Balmiki were asked to the students. All the participants were in full result was announced by Mrs. Lakhbir. She appreciated their performance. Quiz ended with a appreciated and motivated speech by Dr. Jitender Kumar.

i) Microteaching Orientation Programme- 3rd – 4th Nov., 2013

ii) Organization of One Day Educational Trip by Tour & Trip Committee

Incharges – Mr. Rajesh Kumar (session 2012-13)

One day educational trip to Amritsar was organized by S.B.D. College of Education, Kurukshetra. The Trip was organized to visit Amritsar to see Golden Temple, Wagha Border and Jaliawala Bhag. Mr. Rajesh Kumar was the Incharge and Ms. Anjali Malik and Ms. Roma were the Co-incharge of the Trip. A group of 40 students with 4 teachers went on Trip.

List of students organizing committee: For successful organization of the trip to Amritsar 4 boys and 4 girls were selected as member of student organizing committee. The names of these students are:-

iv) Organization of a workshop on preparation of teaching aids by Research & Extension Cell

A workshop was organized on preparation of teaching

aids on 10th January 2012 by Jitender Kumar Sharma. In this

workshop teachers described the use of different teaching

aids in the teaching learning process. In this workshop

teachers described how to prepare teaching aids:-

3. Preparation of Folders and Maps

4. Preparation of Charts

5. Preparation of PPT/OHP/SLIDE Projector

Micro-Teaching Workshop-cum-Orientation Programme:- Guidance and Counseling Cell

The micro teaching workshop-cum-Orientation Programme

was held on 16th June 2012 in the beginning of new session in the

college for modification of teachers behaviour through explaining

and practicing. The concept of micro teaching explained by Mr.

Jitender Kumar Sharma. Different micro teaching skills with

specific criteria and components was discussed by Mrs. Mukesh

Devi. Subject teachers demonstrate micro lesson in their

respective subjects with proper feedback of students. It was very

helpful in micro-teaching for the students.

v) Organization of Workshop on Personality Development by Research & Extension Cell (2012-13)

A workshop was organized by Seth Banarsi Dass College of Education on "Personality Development" on 15th March, 2013. The topic of the workshop was "Personality Traits of Teachers Education." Dr. B.S. Yadav Chief guest and Dr. Jitender Kumar was invited for this purpose. Dr. B.S. Yadav thanked to S.B.D. College of Education for giving him privilege of giving lecture in the aspect of human being. Dr. B.S. Yadav described the role and responsibilities of teacher in the personality development. In this workshop he described the meaning of word "GURU". He explained the different roles of a teacher for society. Dr. B.S. Yadav described the responsibilities of a teacher. Dr. Jitender Kuamr Sharma described the meaning of each letter of the word "Teacher" He also explained the different relations of the teacher.

Dr. Jitender Kuamr Sharma described the Accountability on teacher and thought of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan about Teacher Educaiton. At last Miss Roma came on the dice and pay thanks to Dr. B.S. Yadav and Dr. Jitender Kuamr for their valuable views about "Personality Traits."

vi) Organization of Computer Teacher Training Programme (2012-13):-

Computer teacher training programme was organized by I.Q.A.C. on June 26, 2013 to June 27, 2013. The programme conveners were Dr. Jitender Sharma and Mrs. Mukesh Devi. The programme was conducted in four sessions. First two sessions were held on June 26, 2013 and last two sessions were on 27.06.13. The name of trainers were Mr. Abhimanyu and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar. In first session Mr. Abhimanyu gave the basic. Knowledge of computer to faculty gave the basic knowledge of computer to faculty members. In second session, Mr. Sanjeev Verma told that how to use MS-Word, MS-Exel and MS- Powerpoint. In third session, all faculty members did practice an MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-Powerpoint. In fourth session, the knowledge of internet and its uses were given by Mr. Abhimanyu.

At the end of programme, Mrs. Mukesh Devi thanked the trainers. In the two days programme all the staff members learnt a lot about the use of computer.

vii) Alumni Meet by Alumni Cell:-

Alumni Association was established at the behest of our Chairperson Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta. The main aim of the association is to promote and faster interaction amongst the Alumni, faculty and present students in order to raise the college at different levels and also to help follow Alumni through various initiatives. The Alumni Meet is an occasion when the Alumni gather to reminisce to network, to get update to get rejuvenate and to reconnect. We are pleased to have organized a wonderful and memorable Alumni Meet on 28th Jan, 2014 in conference Hall of our college. We were honoured by the presence of our chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta, Principal Dr. Jitender Sharma and a large number of Alumni. Most of the Alumni were visiting their

Alma matter after a long time and naturally were thrilled to be back in the campus again. The ceremony was started by lighting the lamp and welcoming the guests and Alumni. Astt. Prof. Jaswinder Kaur delivered the welcome speech by highlighting the aims of Alumni Association. She said that Alumni are the brand ambassadors of the institution and a very vibrant relationship must be established and nurtured. she also congratulated the Alumni for their accomplishment in professional and private lines. Gathering was addressed by Principal Dr. Jitender Sharma. He discussed the activities and future plans of the association. He called for Alumni support in various ways in taking the college to a new heights of excellence. Chairman Mr. Roshan Lal Gupta congratulated the Alumni for their achievement and wished them luck for all the future endevours. The event was glittered with speeches by the Alumni who shared their experience. They were all nostalgic about the year that they had spent in the college. At the end a light refreshment was enjoyed by all the Alumni.

In session (2011-12), examination was conducted by examination committee. The incharges of this committee were

Mrs. Mukesh Devi and Dr. Susanta Mohanty. In examination, theory papers and internal practicals were conducted. Theory papers were started from 26.05.2012 and ended to 22.06.2012. All concerned teachers checked their papers and prepared award list of students. The performance of students in House Examination were satisfactory and students came to know about their achievements.

(Session 2012-13)

In session (2012-13), examination conducted by examination committee. The incharges of this committee were Mrs. Mukesh Devi and Dr. Susanta Mohanty. In examination theory papers and Internal parcticals were conducted. Theory papers were started from 10/05/13 and ended on 28/05/13. Internal practicals were from 29.05.13 to 12.06.13. All concerned teachers checked their papers and prepared the award list of students. The performance of students in house exams were satisfactory.

(Session 2013-14)

In session (2013-14), examination conducted by examination

committee. The incharges of this committee were Mrs. Mukesh

Devi, Dr. Susanta Mohanty and Mr. Mukesh Dua. Internal Practical

were conducted from 7th May, 2014 to 10th May, 2014 and internal

theory papers were conducted from 2nd June, 2014 to 17th June,

2014. All concerned teachers checked their papers and prepared

the award list of students. The performance of students in house

exams was good. Students came to know about their

achievements.
