JOB DESCRIPTION : Account Manager, Travel Operations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESA Travel Operations Account Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of all aspects of meeting and incentive travel programs. A person in this position is the primary liaison between client, suppliers, Business Development Director and other team members.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Establish program timeline Collaborate with client on program content Direct Account Coordinators’ duties Set-up on-line registration Manage program budget/gross margin and provide regular updates to the client in the form of a

Change Order Coordinate, chair and recap program review, briefing & debrief meetings Prepare supplier purchase orders Prepare pre-trip materials (agenda card, name badges, registration forms, etc.) Coordinate mailings Prepare trip specs and other on-site materials for travel staff Organize & attend site inspections as required Travel on assigned programs as required Reconcile final vendor invoices

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE 2-4 years’ prior meeting, incentive travel, user conference and/or event planning experience is

required Ability to self-manage; prioritize, multi-task and delegate Effective time management Customer service oriented Effective communication skills, strong writing skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Adapt well to change, must be flexible Creative Strong negotiating skills Perform well under pressure Work well with different personalities and work styles Demonstrate follow-through Strong organizational skills Detail oriented Knowledge of basic accounting
