Arrival and time to connect to Turkish Airlines flight.

22.40 PM Departure to Brazil on Flight TK#69 (via Istanbul)

~End of Itinerary~ **Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will not be responsible for any additional activities/expenses beyond this program. Any changes to tickets will be at your own expense unless otherwise agreed upon by TAT. TAT reserves the right to

change the program at anytime without prior notice**

Before you go: What to pack: comfortable clothes and shoes for warm and humid

weather, swim suit, sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, hat or baseball cap, and camera. Bring a small bag and/or backpack for our daily outings. Some dinners will be hosted at upmarket hotels, please bring elegant evening attire for these occasions.

Temples: A shawl to cover shoulders when entering temples throughout the trip is recommended.

Electricity: Thailand operates on 220V outlets. Most hotels accept US plugs without an adaptor. Please use a voltage converter for items such as hair dryers / electric toothbrushes / shavers.

Internet: Most hotels will offer WiFi internet access on a complimentary basis.

Phones: Check rates and information with your phone provider before you go. If you have a smart phone, we recommend downloading the ‘WhatsApp’ app, this will allow you to make free calls to any US or Canadian number whilst connected to hotel WiFi.

Currency: The Thai Baht (about 35 Baht = 1 Dollar). Most credit cards are accepted and ATM’s can be found easily. You will have the opportunity to exchange money at the airport (Bangkok), or at hotels. We recommend that you bring some cash to supplement your cards. There will be shopping opportunities for which you will generally need Thai Baht. ***Be sure to inform your bank that you will be traveling overseas.

Medication: if you are under any prescription medicine, please make sure to bring enough supply for the whole stay.

Meals & Expenses Domestic flights, accommodation, transfers, excursions and many meals

will be hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Any incidentals in hotels, resorts and tours (drinks, liquors, shopping,

spa/massage treatments) will have to be settled at the time of check-out. Please allow enough time for check-out.

Tipping Our group will be escorted by a guide and driver during our entire stay in

Thailand. The income of these guides is mostly made from client tips. We generally advise budgeting $10 or 3-400baht per day for the trip. The group host will collect this in entirety and handle tipping during the course of the trip. Tips for taxi’s, experience guides, assistance at hotels is at your own discretion.

Cultural Considerations The Thai people are an extremely welcoming, friendly and humble people.

Please be respectful in your interactions. The following may help: Greetings in Thailand are done with a ‘Wai’ (Palms together, slight bow).

Thai people generally avoid touch unless familiar, and especially avoid touching the head.

Feet should never be pointed at someone while seated or to indicate anything.

The monarchy in Thailand is VERY highly revered. It is not only culturally frowned upon to make fun or speak disparagingly about the monarchy. It is a jail-able offence and should be taken seriously.

Bartering in markets is expected, but should be conducted in a friendly lighthearted manner.

Angry confrontations in Thailand are avoided, you will achieve an outcome much faster by taking a calm and measured approach rather than raising your voice if you have problems.

Please remember: You are traveling as a group. Please be on time! Make sure you allow

enough time for check-out. Make sure you pack what is needed for the day each day, based on the

itinerary (clothes, medicine, cash and/or credit cards, etc.) It is tropical weather, so warm and humid. Please always carry water and

stay hydrated.

We wish you a wonderful visit to Amazing Thailand!
