The new “Peace Begins at Home” license plate is Virginia’s only license plate to help fund prevention of sexual and domestic violence. $15 dollars from each plate goes toward programs that help children learn about healthy relationships and other ways to stop violence before it starts.

Help flood Facebook with our Peace Begins At Home license plate with easy steps.

Advertise in advance with easy to use graphics for your Facebook page. Ask your friends and followers to share. Use the #drivepeacehome hashtag and graphics when you talk about it so followers can find the conversation. Here are some example status updates:

April 23rd: $15 from each Peace Begins at Home license plate supports #prevention work! Get yours at www.dmv.virginia.gov #drivepeacehome

April 24th: #Prevention works. Support healthy futures with “Peace Begins at Home” license plates. www.dmv.virginia.gov #drivepeacehome

Join us on May 15th at 11:00 am for a twitter chat, hosted by @VActionAlliance on prevention of sexual and domestic violence. Use the hashtag #drivepeacehome. You just log in at 11:00 am on May 15 th and search for #drivepeacehome. You will be able to tweet your comments or questions using this hashtag.
