decimal? What is the answer when you do so?

INVERSE IN REVERSE STRATEGY A method to solve equations. 1. Write down the order of operations you

would perform on x if you knew its value. 2. Identify the inverse (undoing) operation

for each operation in your list. 3. Perform those inverse operations in

reverse (backward) order to solve the equation for x (or whatever variable you have).

If you have variables on both sides of the equation, manipulate the equation so that it is only on one side before doing inverse in reverse.
