Ayvalık Marina

Setur Ayvalık Marina is an excellent summer and winter port for your yacht. Setur AyvalıkMarina is an indispensable stopping point for those travelling from north to south ,who are

looking for a place to stay for a while in the tranguility of the north Aegean. Ayvalık is a veryold place of of settlement ,with the ancient cities known as Talliani and Kydonia, and is an

ideal environment for those looking to experience the tranquility, natural beauty, mythological

elements, and olive culture of the lifestyle of the north Aegean in one place.

The entrance to the Ayvalık harbor, virtually resembling a lake, is a narrow canal, which isknown as the Dalyan strait. You might not notice the cardinal lighthouse placed to signal the

beginning of the canal. The south cardinal lighthouse, resembling two upside-down cones (lit

at VQ (6) + LFI 15s at night) marks a shallow spot on the north side of the entrance.

Furthermore, just to the southwest is a red buoy, which marks the southern tip of 5-meter

depth. Once alongside the lighthouse, set your course in between the three pairs of concretelighthouses spaced 40 meters apart on both sides of the Dalyan strait. The depth inside the

canal is 6 meters. The sea depth is a maximum 4.7 meters in the marina, and anchors may

not be cast due to its vaulted floor.

İzmir International Airport is 2.5 hour away. We offer the best services with the mostreasonable lift-launch and mooring rates. Bringing yachts to land, lowering them to sea, and

pressurized-water washes are some of the services offered.Repair, upkeep, wintering, and

periodic care services are some of the services that can be arranged by the service staff. In

addition to periodic services such as yacht batteries charging, bilge checks, drying, and

motor operations, every sort of mechanical, technical, electrical, carpentry, and paintingwork can be done as well. We are licenced and authorised by The Ministry of Environment to

get the waste oils from the yachts, also we have sewage pump out facilities.

SEVİM & NECDET KENT LIBRARY AND THE NOSTALJI CAFE

The Past : The Agios Yannis Church

It was linked to the Fener Rum Patriarchy in İstanbul during PatriarchTheodosios’period. The main church was in the northwest, and chapel we see todaywas an integral part of the complex. The monastery library started to expand in1835, and became famous not only for religious boks, but also for meterial on 17thand 18th Century Church Law.

After the forced exchange of the Greek and Turkish residents in this area in 1924,the chapel began to fall into disrepair.Of the windmill, which was located to the West of the chapel and provided flour tothe monastery, all that remained was the foundation.

The Present : The Sevim – Necdet Kent Library

After many years of dereclition, the windmill and church were restored with thefinancial and moral support of Mr. Rahmi M.Koç thereby saving these monuments toour cultural heritage for posterity. The island of Alibey thus became the proudpossesor of a major new library on 7th August 2007.

This library, which will be operated by the Rahmi M.Koç Museology and CultureFoundation, is named after retaired ambassador Mr. Necdet Kent and his wife.Mr.Kent apparently said, when his eyesight began failing in old age: ‘I am not sorrythat I can not see, only that I cannot read.’

Mr.Kent’s son , Mr Muhtar Kent, has donated a complete set of more than 1,300 ofhis late father’s volumes to this library.
