Task

• Draw a map of the world.  Include all land masses and waterways

• After drawing the rough outline of the world’s landmasses, label at least:                 a. 2 physical features                 b. 2 political features (cities, countries, etc.)                 c. 2 economic features (natural resources, trade                                                    goods)                 d. 2 scientific/technological features (inventions,                                               ideas)                 e. 2 cultural features (works of art, literature,                                                     music, religions)                 f. 2 world historical features (events, people,                                                     processes)                 g. 2 arrows to show movement across space                                                       (Mongols moving across the Eurasian steppe,                                            small pox moving to the Americas, movement                                  of Indian technologies throughout the Indian                         Ocean)  

• Place an “X” on each of the following features on your maps: the Galapagos Islands, the Amazon River Basin, the Gulf of Guinea, Lake Victoria, and Borneo

• Connect the “X’s” in a line
