school . However , upon graduat ing, he finds

out that h i s fa ther has been d e m o t e d at work

and his parents can no longer afford to send

and wipe u p vomi t . But a f te r hours, they

party, drink, s m o k e weed and lust a f te r one

another.

Al though this p lot m a y seem a lot like

o ther teen m o v i e s such as " A m e r i c a n P ie" or

" S u p e r b a d , " "Adven tu re l and" adds up to so

m u c h more . Mos t of wha t m a k e s this m o v i e

so wor th-whi le is the charac ters w h o are so

realist ic and endear ing. J ames , in particular,

is an a lmost Michael Cera- l ike character .

H e ' s a little ne rvous and unsure of h imse l f

w h e n mix ing with the "cool k ids , " but ulti-

mate ly sweet and s incere .

ANCHOR FUN FACT: The Anchor began in 1887, and was first is-sued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College's student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, report-ers, and staff.
