    Argusville City Council Regular MeetingApril 2, 2012

    Meeting called to order by Gary Tandsater at 7:00 with the following in attendance: David Becker, ScottLeverson, Wayne Slinger, Randy Teberg, Al Woods, Eric Swenson and Mary Howatt.

    March minutes and financial report were approved as read.

    Motion LeversonSecond Becker to pay bills as follows: Cass Electric $525.60, Forum $42.75, Braun Intertec$514.75, US Treasury $139.65, Municipal Government Academy $15, USPS $1.90, Century Link $57.39, CassElectric $556.11, City of Fargo $14, Cass Rural Water $2307.38, Metro Disposal $2090, Starion Bonds$32,331, Ferguson Waterworks $398.16, US Treasury $179.55, John Koloch $45.60. Motion carried.

    The following motions carried on roll call vote:Motion Leversonsecond Becker to approve offer of $72,500 for the purchase of 102 Drake Avenue.Motion Tebergsecond Slinger to approve Engineers Report for Levee Improvement District No. 2011-1.Motion Beckersecond Leverson to adopt Resolution of Necessity for Improvement in Levee ImprovementDistrict No. 2011-1.

    A Public Information Meeting and Protest Hearing for the Levee Improvement project will be held May 21,7:00 PM, at the Argusville Community Center.

    The following motions carried on roll call vote:Motion Tebergsecond Becker to accept bid of $11,775 from Key Contracting, Inc., for Water ReservoirImprovement Part 2Pump House Piping.Motion Slingersecond Teberg to approve payment of $2220 to Moore Engineering for Water Reservoir FinalDesign.Motion BeckerSecond Teberg to replace both fire hydrants in Westrick Addition if necessary and repair oneif possible.

    Second Slinger to approve liquor license transfer from Happy Trails to Argusville CommunityCenter for April 28, 2012.

    Woods reported on individual shut offs at rental properties in town. Questions regarding liability andrequirements were raised. Becker will research and report back.

    Tandsater updated council on County 4 road project and elevator and school properties. Baumler will be sent aletter regarding the school. Discussion was held regarding Richwood tree claim and tree preservation easement.Report by Deputy Swenson. Discussion on 167th traffic. Mowing bids tabled.

    Community Clean up is set for weekend of June 2-3 with the curbside collection on Monday, June 4. Council

    will visit with residents regarding potential projects.
