El modo imperativo
El modo imperativo se usa para expresar mandatos o dar instrucciones y consejos. Hay mandatos informales y formales. Nos vamos a enfocar en los mandatos formales. Usamos los mandatos formales con gente a quien se dirige en la forma de usted o ustedes.
These are “usted” commands (formal and polite)

Task 1 – Translate the following sentences and share them to make sure you understand what they mean.

Task 6: Think about a game, activity or sport. Do not reveal what it is in any way to anyone. Write formal commands to give instructions to other people (classmates etc.). Read it aloud and see if others can guess what it is.

Task 9: Choose one of the following and write the instructions (classwork) using commands.
a) Poster on a swimming pool with directions/instructions. b) Instructions given by a steward /stewardess in a plane. c) Instructions to warm up frozen/preapared food in the oven or microwave. d) Instructions on how to operate some device.

Task 11: With your classmate, write in each blank the appropriate verb from the previous task but in the plural form = +n (10). Attention, you cannot repeat any of them. As a hint, you have these matched: 2-‐F, 3-‐H, 6-‐N, 12-‐O, 14-‐I, 18-‐J.

Grammar Sheet -‐ Commands 1.Los pasos para formar los mandatos formales.
1. Usa la forma de yo del presente del indicativo.
2. Quita la –o.
3. Agrega la terminación opuesta.
