In our example two wards are running at half capacity.
So 50 % of the available capacity is going to waste. At
the same time, two wards in the same hospital are hav-
ing to cope with surplus occupancy at 120 % and 140 %
utilisation. The consequences: staff stretched to their
limits and a concomitant risk for patients. Because weari-
ness encourages errors! You can achieve greater security
and a more balanced utilisation by shifting ward bound-
aries virtually with flamenco®. You simply allocate rooms
in the overworked wards to areas with capacity to spare.
In our example this results in an even spread of 90 %.

Calls and additional information can be displayed on
corridor panels. Brief practice gives a sure command
of the essential functions. That is vital if staff need to
respond fast in an emergency.

Few places experience as much cleaning and disinfecting
as a hospital. As water and moisture are the natural ene-
mies of any electronic parts, we have developed a mem-
brane-protected keyboard for our buttons which valiantly
wards off any liquid. Even the colours stay clean and
bright after prolonged and frequent use.

The supreme priority is always a rapid recovery and
patient wellbeing. Simple, personal communication
between patient and nursing staff plays an important

Our patient bedside units have been ergonomically
designed, combining high functionality with the attractive
appearance our users appreciate. The result is unique
user convenience: learning to operate flamenco® reliably
takes very little time. Easily grasped colour coding distin-
guishes the generous call button from the presence but-
ton, alarm button or cancel button, and the call lights use
the same colours. Nurses can always identify calls clearly
thanks to clearly defined signals.

Up to date in three easy steps.
The pre-built plug-and-play components can be assem-
bled at the flick of a wrist, even for more complex solu-
tions, and begin their work without more ado. There
are three steps: preparation, fine installation and con-
figuration. The straightforward method cuts costs.
First, the standard sockets and cables required are inte-
grated as far as possible into the existing infrastructure.
There is no need to think about special channels or how
many wires you need or what kind of switches to use.
The second step is to pre-integrate the plugs and connect
them using 3-wire RAN technology. The terminals are
then simply clicked on and can later be changed with a
simple flick.
The third step, system configuration, is also extremely easy.
You can install all the components centrally. The smart
assembly principle and effortless configuration mean
there is no practical limit to subsequent changes, and no
need for any further time-consuming installation. Seg-
ments that are currently equipped with the
EccoLine or NewLine range can be
linked in directly using flamenco® .

flamenco® integrates all your
information systems, even
across hospital boundaries. The
system can also link several sites, lay-
ing the foundations for huge cost savings.
But within a single site, too, flamenco® offers efficiency
gains: visual information can be distributed centrally to all
displays, screens and illuminated signs. The network can
also integrate telephone and light call systems, as well as
the public announcement system. HIS patient data and
facility management databases can be accessed from
