"I MUST LEARN BASIC THINGS ON HOW I CAN EFFECTIVELY INVOLVE." VOLUME 22 • ISSUE 22 • MAY 27 PRACTICALITY OF INVOLVEMENT It was indeed another victorious week that God has given us. We thank and praise Him for the success of the second batch of areas and Gospel teams that held their Daily Vacation Bible School last week. The hundreds of children that were taught with the Bible and the souls that were saved are just a part of God's accomplish- ment through us. Yet, I believe that a great portion of this annual summer event is the joy to see members engaging themselves with what they can give best. It is a blessing for me to know that many of you contributed in the DVBS through fetching, children, driving, cooking, serving snacks, assisting, teaching and also praying. I appreciate all your cooperation for the furtherance of the Gospel. I also rejoice as God gave me the opportunity this past week to visit the mission work in Bontoc, Mt. Province under Preacher Randy Anglog and the church in Bauan, Batangas under Pastor Ed dela Peña. Seeing their growth and love for God is a great encou- ragement. May we keep them in our prayers. As another month enters in, let our theme "Resolved to Involve" continue to challenge us in joining God's work! DR. ED M. LAURENA

It was indeed another victorious week that God has given us. We thank and praise Him for the success of the second batch of areas and Gospel teams that held their Daily Vacation Bible School last week.

The hundreds of children that were taught with the Bible and the souls that were saved are just a part of God's accomplish-ment through us.

Seeing their growth and love for God is a great encou-ragement. May we keep them in our prayers.

As another month enters in, let our theme "Resolved to Involve" continue to challenge us in joining God's work!

DAILY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2012 for WEEK 2: “An Amazing Expedition of Knowing God”

“...Yes we’re journeying to know our God” Thus goes on just one of the various songs in this year’s Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS).

On its second successful week, 735 DVBS students from 11 Areas and 5 Gospel Teams excitingly jour-neyed through to know God as Saviour, Protector, Defender, Provider, and Law-Giver. Another new groups of students were brought to various classroom settings where they were taught to praise God through songs, challenged to memorize Scriptures, exposed to wholesome biblical interactive games, nourished physically through snacks, and most importantly, led spiritually to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour.

This week was definitely fruitful as 1,429 people heard, believed, and accepted Jesus Christ. God has truly accomplished His work in the loving sacrifice and joyful service of the 238 church members and workers who involved.

True to its theme, the two-week DVBS was really an amazing expedition both for the teachers and the students. Those precious children were given a good glimpse of how wonderful it is to study and abide by Bible principles. They were temporarily led away from their daily routine and ushered to different learning places like school classrooms, barangay halls, members’ homes, backyards, vacant lots, covered courts, or hallways. Countless testimonies truly expressed God’s provision for the classroom venues, the worker’s fare, the presen-tation materials, the students’ snacks, and all other physical and spiritual necessities that made up the over-all success of this activity.

May God nourish His Word in the participants’ hearts and may we continue to press on so that fruits may remain. To God be the glory for a GREAT DVBS!

MANATILI TAYO SA KALOOBAN NG DIYOS

Beata Agustin

Dito, makalangit nating pag-asa’y nagpapagalak

Dito, mapanalanginin nating puso’y gumagana

Dito, tumpak nating panuntuna’y napapatunayan

Dito, mapagpasakop nating paninindiga’y tumitibay

Dito, marubdob nating pagsamo’y sumusugod

Dito, masigasig nating pagtitiwala’y umaakyat

Dito, natubos nating kaluluwa’y nagpupuri

"For the gifts and calling of

God are without repentance."

Romans 11:29

at tamang paglilingkod.

Sis. Emma Mateo

"I am crucified with Christ:

nevertheless I live; yet not

I, but Christ liveth in me:

and the life which I now

live in the flesh I live by the

faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave him-

self for me." Galatians 6:20

I praise God for my salvation. I received Jesus

Christ as my Saviour last November 7, 1982. It’s a

victory over hell, and God’s Word is my assurance.

Gal 2:20 has become my life verse, which reminds me

that I’m living because of Him. I also thank God for

the Church that nurtures my faith and the Pastor that

teaches the Word of God for my spiritual growth.

Stepping forward to serve God is another vic-

tory in my spiritual growth. God made me realize

that I need to serve Him and not to be content of

just being saved. Growing in the Lord means involve-

ment. It includes how I applied what I’ve heard and

read not only in giving and soul winning, but also in

being a blessing to others. To serve God as well as

to live righteously is not easy, but it is my privilege

to serve Him. Doing His will in my life is only by the

grace of God.

7" I wil l declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation wil l I praise thee." P SALM 22:22
