PROJECT ASSIGNMENT FOR PISMP SEMESTER 4 - JAN 2008 INTAKE

In primary science teaching, it is important to teach students to work and think scientifically as a means to seek new knowledge and investigate answers to their own questions. Emphasis on how to learn science should be stressed to enable students to experience and acquire scientific knowledge as the true nature of science.

Tasks

In pairs, you are required to:

1. Collect and compile information from not less than 3 resources related to thinking and working scientifically. From these resources you are needed to categorise basic and integrated science process skills. Show your information in the form of a mind map.

2. Carry out activities 5 to 10 and answer all the given questions.

3. Carry out the chosen investigation in the following aspects: List the variables Write specific research questions Write hypothesis Collect and interpret data Write a report.

4. Write your reflection and submit individually. General Instruction

All reports should be typed using the computer, font type Arial, font size 12 and paragraph 1.5 spacing.State references using the APA format. The cover page should include the following:
